Creating item with reference to another item fails
AnsweredHello guys,
I am fiddling with the API, and getting an error i don't really know how to handle.
I need to create a bunch of items that points to other items in other apps. When i try to create the items that needs to be linked, i get an error in danish saying: "Referencen til {Item title} i {App name} er ikke længere gyldig".
What is the cause of this error? I'm unsure how i can keep this reference valid as i am simply refering to it by its item ID.
På forhånd tak!

If i use AppItemId, i get another error: "Feltet du refererer til er ugyldigt", so that's not the problem. I can completely document all of the requests that i am making to get this error, but i am not comfortable posting such information in a public forum.
I asked our dedicated Podio contact for the best channel for getting API support. I was told that this was the place. If i am mistaken, please do tell me. If it is not possible to receive this kind of support, please do tell me. If you just need some time to have a look at the problem, please tell me so. I have colleagues that need a solution to this problem.
I just need some kind of response from you so i am able to decide on what the best way to move forward is.

Found the answer here: https://help.podio.com/hc/communities/public/questions/200518488-Setting-app-reference-give-error-The-reference-to-XXXX-in-Customers-is-no-longer-valid-
To summarize, the item that was being referenced did not belong to the correct app as dictated by the template. Before experiencing this error, i had cloned one of several apps to another workspace for testing and forgot to change what apps they were referencing.
