    Hey guys,

This is a very good question. Podio will automatically re-size the photo in order to provide the best option for "full coverage" of the photo - so how we resize the photo depends on the size of your photo.

If the photo is too wide or too high we will cut the photo to fit the badge in one dimension (the one that is too high or wide) - the other dimension can be stretched to cover the full width of the badge.

It is a compromise and not a perfect solution in all cases - however, this is what we have decided works best for now :)

What is the height of the image to see it full in badge mode?

I made some tests with 100, 150, 200, 250 pixels of height and the to show it fully is 100 pixel height.... It`s strange because on the IPAD the imagem auto resizes automatically, even with pictures with 800 pixels of height... The problem is only in the computer, i tested on Safari, Firefox and Chrome...

Could we please have an official answer from Podio staff?

At what point is an image considered too wide or too tall? What exactly are those dimensions in pixels? By providing that specific information instead of some round-about, inexact answer, you would provide the freedom of your users to edit their own images to size. To say that when an image is too large in one way or another, you still leave it a guessing game.

    Yeah, good question.

Anything above 400px wide should render fine.

The width of image is between (roughly) 275 and 420px. Anything above about 400px wide should always render fine. It doesn't work well for tiny images, like icons, because it scales it up.The images are scaled in browser to fit the area, so the quality of the badge image depends on how well the scaling algorithm used by the browser works with the particular kind of image shown. For photos it probably looks better than for text or illustrations.

I can confirm the picture doesn't resize at all, even when bigger than 400 pixels. The actual image displayed is approximately 260 pixels for width by 100 pixels for height.
