javascript for dummies?

I see a lot of great ideas going around in this forum but for a complete newbie I am totally lost where to start. Would it be possible that somebody writes a newbie-start-here-article-about-javascript or so ;).

  Hi Richard - I'm the same way. I'm more on the administration/vision side of development and less on the technical creation side. I'm using Codeacademy.com to get a basic understanding of various languages - free, easy to follow, helping me move forward.

  agree - where do you place the javascript code? in the calc field or somewhere else?
