Conditional appearance of fields

Hi all, please advice

I want to limit the appearance of a field depending of the value of the previous field.

For example

Filed1 takes the values reseller or direct client. (and is of category format)

If field 1 is reseller then the field that relates this app with resellers dbase is shown,
If field 1 is direct client the the field that relates this app with resellers dbase will not appear for reseller choise

    Can't do that within Podio, though you could build an interface with the API that presents a form that works in this way.

    I like this idea also. Without it, we can use workflows to create an item in a separate app that has the fields we want for the chosen category (in your example, direct vs reseller), but it would make for a cleaner overall application if certain fields in an app can be shown or hidden depending on the category or status values of other fields.

    Yep +1 from me as well - I have similar customer relationships (Direct of via a Reseller) and this would be a very clean and elegant aide for us.

    I second this request, as it also prevents errors on entry and permits for similar named items.

    Yes, I want to fulfil the same function in my apps. Actually, in Excel, it would be done very simply by using Pivot table, but in Podio, I really have no idea how to do that.

    It's the biggest thing holding me back in Podio on Multiple levels. Both on the webform side and the CRM side.

    This is still a hassle for many clients. Some of them have huge Podio apps with loads of fields with half of them named "If X; name", "If Y; phone", "If Z; full address"

    Is there any solution to this here in the end of 2018?

    What I want to achieve it to only show specific fields if a certain category is selected in an app.

    Example: If I select "Recurring payment" on a customer, I want to show a group of fields with value of that recurring payment and so on. If I select "Projekt peyment", at want to show a specific group of fields.

    We're moving away from Podio as we see no future for it anymore. So that's a no from us, sorry.
