Cameron, you can see all your tasks from all organisations in your global tasks (top blue bar). As for the deliverables, I'm not quite sure how you would like to see them across all the orgs? You could maybe setup some tiles with the deliverables reports on your Podio front page?

As for the second part, it sounds like you could create a specific app that would have that kind of information. If you have more questions, you can always get some guidance from our support team via support@podio.com.

  • Hi Mohd

Unfortunately this feature is currently not available, but I am interested to hear why you will need to link between different organizations? Will be great if you can share your use-case and I will be happy to forward your input to the rest of my team.

    Cheers,
    Sara - Podio

    Hello,

Thank you for your concern. We need it to link between organization because sometime we want to up sell same customer with a different service. So we can track this customer is from 'that' organization. Easy to track and we know that she/he is our existing customer.

We also want to use this feature to delegate work between two organization. As an example we want to outsourced art work to designer company. Marketing to Consultant company and so on.

    Hello,

Quick note in order to add that I would be really interested in such feature: currently I have apps I use for different organizations, especially for the company I work for in France and its mother-company in Germany.

For instance, I created a workspace "Database" with apps "People" and "Companies", which I would rather not clone and run parallelly on both organizations, in order to avoid double entries and possible mistakes if cloning entries...

If I could host "Database" under one organization and call it from the second organization's apps, it would definitively help me save a lot of time and effort!

I hope this feedback would be interesting for the Podio team, and I remain available for more detailed information.
    Thanks in advance

I agree. This would be an extremely beneficial feature.

When working across multiple Organizations, I use the same contacts and need to see everything a contact has relationships with. This helps me by ensuring I know everything this contact is apart of.

+1 here. Same situation with our contacts. I want to be able to reference items across organizations.

As an agency you most likely will want to set up a separate organization for each customer. But regardless whether you are doing PR, content marketing or SEO, you will keep using the same contacts over and over again. Now if you want to track your interactions with those contacts, you have to reference them from each organization and have them all in a separate organization, that keeps your own information.

    To exemplify:

    organization: Our Agency
    - workspace: Administration
    - - app: Contacts
    - - - item: Blog1
    - - - item: Newspaper1
    ...

    organization: Customer 1
    - workspace: SEO
    - - app: Linkbuilding
    - - - item: Contacted (item: Blog1)
    workspace: PR
    - - app: Outreach
    - - - item: Contacted (item: Newspaper1)
    ...

    organization Customer 2
    - workspace: SEO
    - - app: Outreach
    - - - item: Contacted (item: Blog1)

I guess you get the picture.

If you, as an agency, offer a lot of services, this is the only viable setup. But I can't reference across organizations so far. Please change this.

    P.S.
obviously we are not using the build in workspace-contacts solution, as this is not flexible enough to sort contacts by custom categories. Rather we built a contacts app.

    Hi Johannes,

I would in this case recommend to, instead of creating a new organisation per customer, to set up a workspace per customer. This when you work closely together and want to be fully transparent in your work with them.

Or is there another reason why you'd prefer to setup a separate organisation instead? If you can send us a private support ticket at support@podio.com we'll be happy to discuss this further with you to straighten any question marks :-)

I would like to compile my personal tasks and deliverables from multiple organizations.

Addionally, I would like to maintain a summary of portfolio companies' financial information within a parent oraganization.

+1 on relating between organisations too

For example, one org manage budgets which is used to pay for a service. A different org is involved with this too as a supplier and they are also happy to do admin work in claiming back reimbursement under a certain budget that I manage. But I cannot share all my customer information, which resides in a different workspace under my org because it would stop this different org does having access to it (as it contains personable identifiable information).

This would help a lot in this era of GDPR
