Agreed, I also wish we could decide what App a workspace defaults to when you enter it - I don't always want to go straight to Activity Stream, i'd rather go directly to Tasks for example.

Thanks for your input guys, no current plans but we might make it possible in the future :)

Hi, I second this. The ability to reduce or hide the activiy stream would allow for the activity stream to become a much more useful dashboard for a workspace. Also, there seems to be so much dead space within in app when scrolling down with the tiles, reports all bunched on the right hand side. Again, a dashboard view utilsiing this dead space would be fantastic.

    Agree on that.
As discussed here as well «https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201018898-Activity-Streams?page=1» it would be nice to hide and/or move the actitiy stream like any other app.

Simple, I ignore the upper left icon which would take me to the list of Worksoaces! My workarounds: in the computer's browser, I have I have a Podio folder with bookmarks for the main app in each workspace, and never have to see the Activity Streams. In the Android app's front page I have added icons for same. From these places I can navigate to the other apps in the workspace. When Podio opens initially, it's set to Tasks.

    Disagree @Karey
Workarounds give me a bad taste and the feeling, I'm using the wrong software!

@Thomas, you might find yourself bookmarking your most-used apps and app items as well. I really like that feature in the Podio app.

    @Karey
What if you working on a different computer, different browser, different device? I'm working on different computers every day, different systems (windows 8, windows 7, osx, my table and my phone)
It sure is a way to go for you... but for me it seems not solve the actual problem.

@Thomas, when I work on other computers I have my Xmarks bookmarks page open. Without installing it on the other computers, I still have access to all my bookmarks, and can edit or add new ones as needed. The Activity Stream was beginning to feel like swatting mosquitoes, so I had to look outside the box. There's always a way to integrate things outside the box...

Agree- If you have a personal workspace that you are not sharing, the stream is really not required in many situations. It would be nice to have the full width for app tiles!

I really agree on this feature request. I'm trying to implement Podio across our business and it's going really well except that my collegues find the UI quite messy and hard to navigate. To solve this we have implemented personal dashboards for everyone with a clear view of only the information and tasks they need to know which also works as shortcuts to the correct places within the UI. But, everyone is really confused by the activity-streams since it have no purpose in the way we use it but still takes up half the dashboard. Even if I hide all posts from the activity stream it stills locks half the screen and refuses to put any other app-widgets below it.

To summarize, in this case less is more so please make it possible to hide the activity stream so we can focus on the information that apply value to our business, not the internal feed of Podio.

I second that, that would be a great feature. The activity feed is completely useless in our workflow and takes so much space that could be used by relevant tiles.

Ugh, now the Activity Stream, which used to be a page that I could duck, is present on all my pages. Even though I don't follow my items (or I'd find my every action posted in the Activity Stream), it lurks there ready to announce to me anything I did without covering my tracks. Seriously, should we stretch the window onto the external monitor to avoid it? I am a bit tired of workarounds. Podio, you can do it? If it's an option, you will indeed find the folks who elect to use it, singing its praises! And the rest of us will sing your praises for its absence!

Funny that from this page I can go to "my activities" or "sign out" but not to workspaces :)

This is the ONE reason I am not using Podio. I would pay money to be able to hide the activity stream. I desperately want to use this software but the activity stream extremely limits the flexibility for me. Any news on plans for this feature?

Agreed. We should be able to show, hide, locate, etc the activity stream. I see this as a natural fit for the Podio customizable application platform. Odd that it isn't already customizable given how everything else is.

    Hi guys,

Thanks again for your feedback on this. No immediate plans on making it removable for now but it might be something we'll take a look at in the future. Keep the votes coming for the features you want to see (or not see) in Podio. We are constantly tracking your input and it is much appreciated!

At the very least this should be like a tile which can be turned on/repositioned like other tiles...

The activity stream is pretty useless. If the point of Podio is to be customization why would this giant gaping restriction be put into place on the landing page, perhaps the most important page. I've never once used that stream but I've wanted that screen real estate for other things. Why are you so resistant on making this change Podio?

so frustrating this has yet to be addressed. Such a simple change. I abandoned Podio because of this sadly, however for my workflow I wanted to use the main screen as a pinned browser tab with all my info.  it makes the side you can customize end up needing a scroll to see important info which did not work for me.
