Simple Search - relevance

    Hey Joe

The search in Podio is actually already contextual. If you view an app and type to search, then hit enter to show all results, Podio will only show results from this specific app. If you view a workspace and type to search, then hit enter to show all results, Podio will only show results from this specific workspace.

Can this work or are you looking for something else?

    Cheers,

Let's consider simple example. We have 1500 items in our app. They have categories like Todo (100 items) and Done (1400 items).

Now we want to search by Title only Todo ones. Right now we get results from both, which is annoying as it gives usually items that we are not interested in.

Ideally this could be done in 2 ways:
    1. Search function takes into account current View (not the App as a whole, but View only).
    2. Add search by text option to Filters (we can than pick category as Done and type text to be searched for in Title).

Is there any way to achieve that with current Podio state or this is a Feature Request?

    Hi Marcin,

That would be a feature request for the search tool. As mentioned above, you have the ability to search the app, workspace, or globally. If you're using a category field, you could create a filter view to help narrow down the results but the search results would still display all items that meet the search criteria for the entire app.
