Instead of seeing "Hey Matthew McFarling review this task", when someone enters, Hey @Matth.... and selects my name from the list, I think it would be interesting to introduce a nickname to the user profile or perhaps a screen name. So the result would be "Hey Matt, review this task", when someone enters, Hey @Matth....and selects my name from the list.

Thoughts?

  I'd like to second this motion. I think a nickname field on individual profiles would go a long away in making the tagging feature more similar to the other social environments we're accustomed to. Any feature that would help us keep text brief is a good thing.
