IMPORTANT FEATURE SUGGESTION: Simple way to solve many App Sharing Problems

Problem:
Many people have made suggestions about wanting to share partial info from one app to other users. We all love Podio but this is a difficult problem to work around. Example: I have developers making updates on projects. And I want customers updated on status. But I don't want the customers to have all the details (i.e. Developer comments, Developer Time, Technical Details, etc). Other issues involve item creation or updates in workspaces that trigger requirements that make take more than a Podio Task or Comments.

Solution:
These problems and others can be solved by enhancing "Manage Workflows" feature. And adding a new Field call WorkSpaces that will be a list of all user viewable workspaces. My recommendation is to update [ STEP 2: Then ] - adding an "Add Item" Action. The Add Item action could connect to any accessible App by the user in any workspace. This would work like the "App Reference" in the [Modify App] function. The user would select an App, Then Reference field to field like an [Import]. Or the user could directly select or type constants for the referenced field. The Referenced WorkSpace field can optionally determine which workspace the App is to allow the user to select a particular workspace if desired.

RESULT:
If I add an Item in a Workflow. I could share Related project, status, completion date to a particular customers workspace without details that I do not desire to share, This would allow a Deliverable or Work Update App in a Developer/Designer workspace to update the customer instantly in a separate workspace with immediacy and privacy. Or a Lead app could distribute leads to salespeople in their own territory workspace without clouding information for other salespeople or inviting comparison.

Comment:
Social Productivity is great except when it interferes with privacy, financials or competition. We have increased our efficiency with Podio but there are still manual processes that have to be done as work-arounds because Podio sharing is not more granular. Developers should be able to create an estimate without knowing the total cost of the customers project. And the Project manager should be able to create a SOW from the estimate without seeing all Customers Sales for the year. This one addition to workflow would keep Podio efficiently running Socially while protecting needed confidences.
