    Hi guys!

    We are today very happy and proud to announce that we've released the new, powerful Advanced Workflows feature in Podio! This has been much requested and we can definitely see why. It will let you automate a whole lot of processes in Podio and help you save valuable time. If you haven't tried it out yet, give it go! You can for example trigger a new task or item to be automatically created in another app upon change to a certain category. And much much more..

    I agree...

    It would be nice to see a "BOOLEAN" type of structure. More functionality related to actual values and not just items. For example: "If category has been changed to this particular status then do this (as mentioned above by Phillip)".

    Same with numerical values: "If money/numeric value is greater than (could also be not greater than) 5000.00 then do this".

    Another function that would be nice is the "and" function as well as the "or" function. Example: "If category is this and money value is that then do this". Best use of this would be in the case of tentative/new, confirmed and postponed/cancelled category statuses being correlated with a value. Say a customer calls for a booking and their job worth is a high-value; then an executive can be tasked to get involved into the deal...

    One last thing I would like to see is the ability to have more functionality with the due dates.... It would be nice for scheduling purposes if I were to add a job date and be able to minus one day so that I can task it to someone to schedule it the day before without having to manually change the date...

    At any rate, Podio is still new and the Podio-Team is doing fantastic~!

    I really hope this will get a higher priority. We have built our workflows and internal procedures around the category fields, and it would really help us remember which steps are required for each category and strengthen our use of Podio.

    I second this. I want an auto generated Workflow to happen not just when an App's field status has changed, but when an App's field status has changed to a particular choice.

    Don't know how many people need to agree in order to make a request a feature, but consider this an additional vote.

    "Something" is changed... isn't really enough to justify automatically creating a task, let alone claim it saved any time. Add "Something" is changed TO "<User defined category item>", MORE/LESS/EQUALS "<#/DATE/%/$>"; would be a good start, but until then, the workflow feature feels considerably incomplete.

    Hi all,

    We do have it on our (very long list) of things to add to Podio but unfortunately I cannot promise an exact timeframe. We first launched the workflow functionality this January and with the launch we also advertised that this was the first basic part of the functionality and that we hope and plan to add more features to the workflow going forward.

    Unfortunately I just can't promise an exact timeframe. If you cannot wait for the update - please check some of the extensions to Podio as they already offer the same functionality: https://podio.com/extensions/2

    This is helpful however I have the need to notifiy all member of my group if, for example, a new blog post is created. I appears I can only add one person(?). How can I add everyone and or add them as a group? Thanks!

    Hey Cindie,

    Perhaps you can ask your team to follow the app for new blog posts? They will then automatically be notified when a new one is created :)

    We are also working on supporting multiple contacts in the workflow so this should be possible in the future :)
