Assigning different email addresses to different organizations

I'm working with multiple companies that are starting to use (test drive) podio. I have a unique email address for each company/organization. Can I setup podio so that emails generated for a specific organization are routed to the email address associated with that organization? I saw a similar question and the answer seemed to be no. If so, you guys should know that this is pretty basic and other tools (like Asana) have that out of the box. I don't want emails from a bunch of different companies I work with to be routed to my gmail, it's going to be a nightmare.

Thanks,
Sean

This will be very complex to develop with the current Podio architecture and will most likely not be prioritized. The best work-around would be to create a different user for different organizations (so 1 user belongs to 1 organisation), rather than adding multiple emails to same account.

Sorry Sean, still no real solution here I'm afraid but I definitely see the use case for making it possible. Thanks for letting us know!

To avoid this you can create separate Podio accounts but then you need to log in and log out to access them, which would also be a potential nightmare :)

I definitely think this is required functionality if you're going to support multiple organizations on one account. I'd love to see this escalated since it sort of breaks some of the existing usability of having multiple orgs.

In addition to not routing updates to the right emails, any app that uses the "Contact" field will display only the email you first signed up with, regardless of the org. That makes it pretty pointless if you use that to share your contact info within an organization.

Come on Podio, this is MUST feature.
We need to get notification for an organisation to the right inbox, not to one inbox.
Hope you would soon create solution for this...

Dear Sara,
it seems lika a very simple solution;
you just put a new variable that defines the default email that emails get sent to for a certain organisation, and this variable is a select field populated by the Verified emails from one's profile.

It is especially frustrating to use the Podio Android App to sing in and sign out to be able to manage different organisations (accounts).

I agree :) Unfortunately the feature is not prioritized in the current product roadmap. To be honest it is not a request we hear that often. I have shared the discussion here with the product team internally so we can consider to add this feature in the future.

Thanks again (and please keep the votes coming)

I would definitely like to add my vote to have this as a new feature. I currently work a full time job and moon light, so it would be nice to be able to use my different emails for my different organizations, without having to sign in/out each time

I'd really love this feature as well. Becoming very annoying as there is a mix between private and professional related workspaces which makes a mush of my notifications per email.

This is really a necessary feature. It seems odd you can add multiple emails to an account in Podio, but that you cannot assign them to separate organizations. It doesn't make sense.

Just added my vote. In addition to my own company, I set up and manage a Podio account for my church where I function as the minister of Business Affairs. I would much rather those email notifications go to my personal email as opposed to my business email. I also am the technology advisor for another business for which I set up Podio. The corresponding email I use with them is under my second company. I do not want to have to log in and out of each account everytime I would like to do something with a different organization, especially since they are already so nicely separated visibily. I would just like to have the notifications for each filtering to the associated email account. Thanks for the consideration.

Is this difficult to develop?

I am an entrepreneur and have a construction business, house flipping business, real estate sales business, and I help organize my church technology. This is kinda a problem I can see.
