Section breaks
When building a number of fields into an app, it would be useful to be able to separate the fields into sections with headers.
Big apps can get rather confusing without any breaks, particularly when you make them into a web app!

Hi everyone,
So far this feature request has not been prioritized by the team as we have a few work-arounds for you to add section breaks / headers in your apps.
Here is a few options -
Simple
Use a category field with a required field to become "header" in your app. See screenshot below:
Advanced
Use a calculation field with a javascript calculation to create a header image, using colors and text of your choice. See screenshots below:
Hope this helps with a workaround!
Please keep the votes coming if you would prefer to see a real solution, rather than the work-around.

Any updates about this feature? Is it still not prioritized or do you plan to implement it soon?It would be extremely helpfull for long apps.
Best regards

Epic idea. This would solve so many issues I'm having with organizing fields in an app. If their were sections for example I could group similar fields in a section and name it. Then my employees can be verbally assigned a section.
Right now I'm using a category field and naming it for each section. It annoying because the user has to click it to activate it each time.... Even a border line would have been a good options to separate sections but that is not available either.
The final step would be to allow for layout templates. I'm submitting an idea for this. Imagine that you could choose from pre made layouts or build a custom layout. Some of my apps are miles long because all the "fields" or "questions" are stack right on top of each other..... especially if they are categories... vs drop down boxes. My employees have to scroll for miles just to find a specific question to ask our clients in an app.
So Podio designers and coders please, please, pretty please create sections and pre made layouts. :)

- 1000 for this feature. I agree completely that section breaks with headers are absolutely necessary for apps with large amounts of data entry! Would make my contact entries (which have very detailed client information in MANY fields) much more navigable!!!! The workarounds don't quite cut it.
Apps that are used for webforms would benefit enormously as well.

Hi,
We've created an extension called Advanced Web Forms, where we try to implement useful things that are missing in the otherwise excellent native feature.
We have recently implemented Section Headers, so if you want to check out that and other webform related stuff, you can read more at: http://advancedwebform.com/

Unfortunately, Podio removes the blue tokens when you copy-paste calculation field code. So your @Title code no longer bears that reference. You'll have to reconnect the reference by typing it again starting from the @. If you type @T, you'll be able to pick @Title from the appearing suggestions.

In case you are okay with simple bold section breaks, you can create them with very short calculation fields.
The reference is random, it's only there because the calculation field needs a reference. The . to the left helps to distinguish the section title a little more. Here's an example:
