Time zones is a big problem.

For some reason, when people in my office (here, in the Central time zone) use the webform, it gets entered and re-interpreted into Eastern. Then, when I see it in my view it is an hour later. This led to some serious errors until I realized what caused the problem. So, this is a serious issue.

My time zone is off by an hour. I set a meeting in google calendar, and in Podio it shows up an hour late!
    unacceptable.

Need this - for all time/date/duration fields it should be possible to set the relevant time zone. When arranging meetings in San Francisco via Podio, we - in Denmark - end up with Outlook calendars with meetings 7 hours off... Doesn't work.

Yes. We should be able to choose a time zone in Date/Time Fields. That is mandatory.

    Hi Frank (& everyone),

The meetings you schedule will always show in your own time zone, and they will automatically adjust for other users based on their own time zone. We've intentionally left out the time zone selection to keep things simple - as long as you've properly set the time zone in your account settings then you can always trust that the meeting times you're seeing are accurate, no need to worry about adjusting when scheduling or viewing a meeting.

    Hopefully that makes sense?

Hi Jacqueline. I understand that it works great if you for example a meeting in your own timezone. But I have to plan mettings quite often in other timezones than mine. And every time when I do that I open Outlook to check what I need to fill into Podio. That feels rather clumsy.

I see, thanks for clarifying. I think we will likely stick with the current functionality since this keeps things simple for the majority of use cases, however I will share your experience with the team for consideration.

Hi anyone who might be interested in improved timezone functionality in Podio,

Please see my feature request below.

    https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/214059088-Option-to-Display-Timezone-With-Optional-Notation-Formats-in-Date-Field-Types-and-Display-Manage-Timezones-Identically-in-Both-Web-Version-Mobile-app

Most of this just seems basic for any platform, and I'm perplexed as to why it is not a priority at Podio.

Hey Mark--once they make a decision, they defend it no matter how many users try to explain why it doesn't work for them, why it makes no sense, why it's so different from how everyone else does things, etc... And you'll never get a straight answer as to why it's like that. But they'll spend two paragraphs answering a question you didn't ask. It's mystifying to me too, but that's the way it is.
