Add Explicit Time zones
Presently, time zones are implicitly set; viz., when a date is set within an app, the time is pulled from the account of the person setting it. But there's really no way of knowing this, and no way to select a different time zone on-the-fly.
It'd be great to have an additional popup menu with a list of time zones, with the profile time zone selected by default.
The employees in my company span across multiple time zones, so it's very important for us to be careful of times. And, please, I know it's handled by Podio, but it'd be great to have some control, too.
Thanks!

For some reason, when people in my office (here, in the Central time zone) use the webform, it gets entered and re-interpreted into Eastern. Then, when I see it in my view it is an hour later. This led to some serious errors until I realized what caused the problem. So, this is a serious issue.

Hi Frank (& everyone),
The meetings you schedule will always show in your own time zone, and they will automatically adjust for other users based on their own time zone. We've intentionally left out the time zone selection to keep things simple - as long as you've properly set the time zone in your account settings then you can always trust that the meeting times you're seeing are accurate, no need to worry about adjusting when scheduling or viewing a meeting.
Hopefully that makes sense?

Hi anyone who might be interested in improved timezone functionality in Podio,
Please see my feature request below.
Most of this just seems basic for any platform, and I'm perplexed as to why it is not a priority at Podio.

Hey Mark--once they make a decision, they defend it no matter how many users try to explain why it doesn't work for them, why it makes no sense, why it's so different from how everyone else does things, etc... And you'll never get a straight answer as to why it's like that. But they'll spend two paragraphs answering a question you didn't ask. It's mystifying to me too, but that's the way it is.
