Display future repeating meetings on calendar
CompletedCurrently, only the next meeting in a recurring meeting series displays on the Podio calendar. This is not very helpful as often other things get scheduled for times when a recurring meeting is set in the future, thus making the recurring feature almost unusable. Please show future occurrences of repeating meetings on the calendar.
Thanks.

Hi guys!
We are happy to announce we finally have a solution ready to fix the future repeating events and display an image of your events weeks ahead. This has been long overdue and we hope you will like the new solution.
In the past, we always showed only the next repeating event in your calendar as we wanted to avoid creating unlimited (millions) of future items in the related apps. In that sense, the Podio calendar has always been quite different from calendars you know from iCal, Google etc.
We are minimizing this gap by adding support for viewing future repeating events in your calendars today. This means you will now see the future items in your calendar view to plan and see availability more than just “one week ahead”.

I am a new user and just searching for why my recurring meetings don't show up on the Podio calendar. I am shocked to find this has been a request for over two years now... Even more shocked that only 37 people voted for this feature to be included. I can only guess most people gave up on Podio, and just stuck with using their Google/Outlook/iCal calendars instead of the Podio calendar. Because that's exactly what I will be doing, going back to Outlook.

I have no way to plan my life if I can't see my events and tasks in the future. Is it possible to show all recurring tasks and events in the calendar, but exclude them from the summary view? I see Podio's point in not wanting a cluttered summary view which I agree with. I like how clean it is. However, not being able to reliably schedule meetings in the future makes this useless. It shouldn't be that complicated. All the codes need to do is write some code saying that any task or event marked as repeating will show on the calendar but not on the summary view with the exception of the current one.

+1....Please resolve this sooner than later...dynamic teams need to forecast and plan their time more than 1 occurrence out from today's meeting. Most people are using many calendars all converging through their mobile devices. This is impossible to use unless it blocks out the time for the user.

Any news on this issue? We are an educational institution who just started using Podio and imagine our surprise when we found out that recurring events don't show up in the calendar. This is essential for all event related activities at the Academy and renders Podios calendar feature useless for us at the moment. Please implement this as soon as possible.

@Sara: this issue has been open since... September 2013... almost 3 years, and no solution so far.
Would you be so kind as to provide us all with an ETA on this feature? Some of us really need to reconsider this issue when evaluating future purchases and/or renewals...
Many thanks for your understanding

I've just gotten off a call with a major client. We set up their Podio workspace for their project and used it with their whole team. Imagine my dismay when they asked why our standing weekly meeting only shows the next two weeks and is not actually recurring. I thought I was doing something wrong, but no. It's a massive feature fail in Podio. In looking on here I see that this has been a request for 3 years. That's a seriously long time. Do you realize how much technology has changed in three years? And yet you can't figure this out? Here's what I really don't understand - why have the recurring button at all if it really does not work? And why not have an explanation or a pop up that says, "Warning. Meetings can only recur for two weeks."
For those of us dealing with clients we have to put holds on calendars or that spot gets taken.
I now have to go through and hand enter 52 weeks worth of meetings. Any idea how long that's going to take me and how much it's going to cost me in billable hours? For how much I'm paying per month for Podio this should work.
I'm seriously disappointed.

Please make this possible as we plan our meetings more than one week in advance and as such we need to know off the top of our heads what the recurring meetings are. Considering across my entire company there are about 50 recurring meetings it makes things quite difficult. This is the first significant flaw I have found in your product.

I was shocked when setting up a recurring task and/or meeting that I couldn't see the future tasks/meetings in the calendar. I thought this would have just been standard. Anything you guys can do to include this feature ASAP would be great as I see this as a severe limitation to completely implementing Podio with my staff. Please bump this up in priority!

I agree with the others, this is a key feature for those of who want to use Podio to plan out months in advance and connect them with deliverables that are due in the coming months. Not being able to see global tasks for my company was one thing I was willing to get over because I could understand the logic of it. But not begin able to have recurring meetings show up in the future makes little sense. Podio, help me understand if there is a reason behind this .

Michael Curran, I couldn't agree with you more. At our company we still consider ourselves new users because we've had Podio in-house for five months. The future repeating meetings issue has definitely caused some heartache and Podio's apparent lack of concern for its customers on this has definitely caused us to reconsider keeping Podio as the tool of choice for collaboration. This is definitely becoming a deal breaker for us and we've started the process to re-evaluate other collaboration tools. It's a shame really.
