I also agree that this is a must-have feature for any planning app. So much so, in fact, that if I would not consider using Podio in the future simply on the basis of this missing feature. I can understand it being hard to implement, but the importance of this feature cannot be understated for any organization that needs to plan more than a few days ahead. (meaning almost every organization out there) Re-engineer the whole thing from the ground up if you have to, but get this working. I know it sounds condescending (sorry) but I get a feeling that you have no idea how much business you've lost just on account of this, otherwise this two year old request would have been solved a long time ago.

+1 vote. There is much said about this option. It is a MUST have in the calender app.

another vote for this feature. We cannot use the PODIO external calendar at all for this very reason.

I am currently evaluating Podio for use in my company. A MAJOR reason would be to create a company calendar that is easily accessible to all users on all platforms. The ability to see future events and make planning decisions is a basic function for Calendar apps. I find it astonishing that the ability to see recurring events out in the future is not possible. What further disturbs me is that this has been requested for over 2 years now and has not been added. Are you listening to your customers? Should I be investing my company's time and money in this?

This is also a deal breaker for my company. I wanted to use podio as CRM as well as to track our weekly recurring tasks. But If I can not see them some weeks ahead it will not be possible for me to plan and reorganize them if needed. If someone is out of the office for, lets say, 2 weeks, I need to reassign this taks in advance...

Critical feature to see how recurring meetings affect the schedule. Voting for this as a feature asap - even if it is difficult to implement - it needs to be a priority

How is this from 2013 and still there's no response from Podio about integrating this feature? It's an essential part of ANY calendar software.

Any new comments about this? I begin using Podio today, and this is not a feature, this is a must when you are paying for an app that helps you to organize your stuff.

    Help!

Any news on this issue? We are an educational institution who just started using Podio and imagine our surprise when we found out that recurring events don't show up in the calendar. This is essential for all event related activities at the Academy and renders Podios calendar feature useless for us at the moment. Please implement this as soon as possible.

It's incredible how some demands of the users are just ignored by PODIO team... If the feature dosen't make sense for PODIO, tell us... but never leave us without a feedback.. That's the hole point of PODIO btw.

I can't believe we actually need to ask for this, but it is a MUST to be able to see all recurring events.

I use an app for my company to schedule time in each of our conference rooms so as not to double book our three meeting areas. The way Podio schedules the next recurrence only after the current one passes makes it impossible for people to know when the room is in use for one of these recurring meetings.

It's completely unreasonable for your company to ignore this issue for years. Also, I don't understand how you can claim that this is a complicated fix. How complicated was it to set up a meeting that only schedules after another one is done?! Every other calendar option you can find anywhere on any device can do it; get with the program guys!!

I stooped using Podio because of this issue and a few similar ones. Found a far superior product for what I do. I love this thread though because it is quite comical and mind boggling. I don't understand how they refuse or can't do this!

Scott Baermann - I'd love to know what you're using now. We're considering the same.

Anne...I run a small window cleaning company and we found a product called Jobber (www.getjobber.com). Great application for us and they are super responsive to client's needs and desires. But it is built specifically for field services companies. Loved Podio for the ability to customize apps for specific needs but found too many limitations. Calendar was the biggest one.

Thanks much, Scott. That probably won't work for us, but I appreciate the quick response and am glad you found something that works for you.

I don't want to say Podio is a bad tool, I guess is good enough for some people but definitely this feature is something that we need. I was liking Podio but we are changing today to another web app. Too bad that this is not being attend by anyone, and also to see that the last responses from the Podio Team were last year. And for the community, don't be afraid to change your tools, if something is not working jump to the next one until you find what works for you, it's going to be cheaper and better in the future. I had tried basecamp, podio, redbooth, asana, proofhub, team gantt, trello, etc, but all of these tools are driven more for being a tool to control (all of them have reports) your team than a tool focus to increase communication and organization of your team. We are a team of 10 people and I don't need to control them, I need to give them something that increase their performance. Take a look to twoodoo or slack, they are doing a great job!

I can appreciate the technical issues that Podio are facing on this matter (I suspect it comes down to the fact that meetings are essentially just items), but do I think the community has 'spoken' loud enough.

Podio, if you're listening, could it be as simple as having a little field on the 'repeat' control that says 'repeat X occurrences in the future'? It just takes the number you entered and auto creates that number of items in advance.

There would be issues when you try to update or delete a meeting (it wouldn't update/delete the future items), but for the first iteration I'm sure the community would be thankful.

Please add functionality that you can schedule future events in advance (not just after meeting is passed)

I agree 100% - functionality no-brainer. The essence op Podio is collaboration and planning and without this functionality very hard to do, stil need to "duplicate" in Google Calendar....

I was blown away to see that this function doesn't exist (ability to see future instances of meetings on the calendar). There must be some hack that can make this pretty simple to employ? It's pretty essential for effective project management...

Dear Admin who posted, "Why create it? There is google calendar. Now embed it into podio"

Can you please clarify the exact process you are proposing? How does one embed google calendar events into Podio? If this is a good workaround I'm sure everyone would like to hear the full process...

I'm done, this is ridiculous. Get it together or... I would say that people will stop using Podio, but it seems the exodus has already begun. Bon voyage on your journey into the ether of the internetz and find your final resting place next to Netscape Navigator.

It is really crucial to be able to see which time slots in the agenda are already 'booked' in order to plan new events.
In fact for our organisation the biggest downside of (the otherwise brilliant) Podio as a whole; so we find it essential that this issue gets solved.

    another 7 month passed by....
what about a christmas gift to all podio users:
let us please know, if this feature will be added "some day" - or - if there is any good reason, it will be rejected furtheron?
it seems to be a very difficult point, because this very, very understandable request, was never commented by the podio team!?!?

RIDICULOUS. What's the point of a calendar if you can't use it for scheduling?
