Nested comments

When posting comments all comments are published at the same indent level. I would like to post a comment as a reply to a specific existing comment. This new comment should be shown in the next indent level. This features is widely used in forums and other comment systems. I think it will add much value to your customers, if you implement this features. Thank you for a great system!

This will be a killer feature if Podio implemented. Its really difficult to keep track of so long conversations inside an item.

Hi all,

Thanks for sharing your feedback and voting for this. I can see that would be a cool feature and the more that vote for it the higher up it comes the at the list :-) For now I would suggest to @mention the person who made the first comment so that it get's directed as an answer to her or him. Is this how you are doing it now?

Charlie,

Imagine this discussion. If it will become 50 comment long, do you think with mentions that you will be able to see who is replying who? If I want to reply to Alexandra, putting a mention on the comment will only alert her about my comment but will not simplify the view of the conversations.

Sometimes I have several issues to discuss with some coworkers and I must tell you that I don't put them all in the same comment. I just put one and wait for the reply. After I receive the reply to my client, i will put another. This way we can easily track the comments along the conversation. If I put all the comments at the same time it will become a mess.

I'm working with projects and it's getting very difficult to understand each other because of the several comments we've made. Mentioning someone is not enough, as you can see below:(e.g.)
Person A:
"@PersonB Check out this link: www..."
Person A:
"@PersonB Check out this too: www..."
Person B:
"Wow...That is really great. We should implement it too".

In this simple conversation we cannot know which link he is agreeing to implement. Now imagine a multiple conversation with 3 or 4 people.

That's something that facebook, google, and other major softwares have already implemented.

OMG this is what we need so badly here. Podio - what is the verdict here?

I just slogged through 25 comments and 5 @ mentions - each with its own answer and now I have to toggle back and forth to respond back to each one in a totally disorganized way. Is there a workaround? Lets get this asap!

Just had another request from my team for this feature. I think it is probably the single most significant feature request I have for Podio and it would greatly enhance Podo's use as a discussion tool. I would like to use Podio as a discussion hub like Wrike, but without nested comments it isn't effective. With any more than a few users the comment field becomes a mess. It's a curious omission because it exists on the feed. Why not on comments?
