    Hey guys,

Thanks for sharing your ideas to improve Podio, much appreciated. As Marc explained, internally in Podio we use a grey "Out of office" profile picture with the text "I'm away". I highly recommend this as a work-around.

You might also be able to build an out-of-office functionality via the API - to automatically send chat reply.

We do have this listed as input internally but unfortunately not planned for the short-term roadmap. Keep the votes coming!

that is true i couldnt find a status option on the chat service. i think it is amazing to have it in the platform without a dough, however when i need to work on project and dont want to communicate with someone at the office i cant even let them know.

They assume im free to chat all the time, and call.

That feature will be great since sometime you have to use the crm without interuption. ill be logging this in the idea box after this message.

Me too.... At beginning it was a fun and nice to have feature. Now our business is getting momentum. New clients are coming. GREAT ! But it's getting out of control. It's like having all clients inside our office.... at my desk.... all the time..... Please add a status button. Or a way to turn it off.

    +1

I have seen various people - I think all Podio employees - using an updated profile photo, greyed out saying "I'M AWAY" over the top of it. Something like that accessible from your profile would be perfect.

We will need something similar pretty quickly as well. I just realised there is no way to limit this functionality - if I am using Podio then it is always on.

This might be a deal breaker and we might have to look for other software to be honest. We cant have outside contacts thinking we are available at any time

As a workaround we use two different profile images ... Podio does the same.

Blimey... I cannot believe this isn't more of an issue for many....

It's so bloody primitive to have to change your picture each time.  Most importantly, it's totally unworkable... since, if you are working on other projects, you aren't going to change your picture because you are available to ONE project just NOT to the other, or for general messages or for video chats.

I LOVE PODIO, but HATE how this option, something inherent in most chat programs, is still not available. :(

Is it possible to turn on an away message?

Changing the profile image in not really an option.

How to be on Podio without being constantly bugged by others when I'm not available?

Hi there, Google now has a OOO type of entry in their calendars. They are using it in their Chat to let you know when somebody is not available. Is there a possibility to use this status in Podio as well?

I could imagine either through the calendar integration or through a chat integration (so one chat instead of two). Or by simply setting yourself out of office in Podio?! This feature should then be something to work within Globiflow where default item assignment could be automated even further to a deputy in case the person is OOO...

    Thank you for your consideration.
