Use Case: Gantt chart

Couldn't agree more with this. I've been keeping an eye on Podio's plans for Gantt for ages, and it's been talked about and teased... but all that keeps coming back is the app from Bendixkeil on the app store, which is honourable, but far too basic to be useful - it's not true Gantt as it only shows one level of information - no linked sub lines like Deliverables or Tasks, and it's not fully supported. As Martin says, to be useful (and it would be extremely so to a large majority of Podio users from the Podio forums I've read) we need to have sub line data to see main Projects, linked Deliverables and associated Tasks.

This would give Podio a MASSIVE advantage

    Come on Podio!!  :)

Do I understand correctly that signing up for smart gantt simply doubles the cost of having Podio? Thank you very much for working on a n issue for the whole Podio community, but this is really something that the Podio team needs to get behind within the current subscription as a gantt chart is really really basic (together with sub-tasks). Again thanks for trying to solve the problem!

@Anders Bendix Kiel how can you be a developer and say that is not possible for Podio to have its own gantt chart? That's pretty nonsensical. I won't use YET ANOTHER third party app with another pricetag.

Gantt is project management 101, if Podio won't develop such an obvious feature I won't switch to Podio. I don't think I'm the only customer Podio is losing.

No Gantt... that's a pity. It is precisely what I need. Cannot see how can you manage a project w/o a chart.

Plain and simple - I cant function without it. Lets go Podio!

I am a Podio Preferred Partner. We have started the development of a new and improved Gantt for Podio (a Podio extension). You will be able to view entries from multiple apps in the Gantt chart and you will be able to work with filtering and sorting. Read more here and sign up: gantt.bendixkiel.org

Do we have to leave podio to view the chart or does the solution operate within the construct of the podio space? If so how do I get my hands on it?

    Good to hear Martin. :-)

@Paul, we cant integrate it that close into Podio, so I am affraid that you will have to leave Podio. I would love if we could place it inside Podio, but that is not possible. Anyway I think you should take a look at it when we launch to see if it fulfill your need.

We have now launched SmartGantt. SmartGantt allows you to see Podio items from multiple apps inside one Gantt chart. See more here: www.smartgantt.com.

You can also watch the video intro here: http://smartgantt.com/take-a-tour/

We know its not integrated 100% into Podio, but we hope you like it anyway.

Hi Anders Bendix Kiel Can you let me know if your Gantt is still supported please? I'm trying to export the charts and have tried as pdf or png in Safari, Chrome, Opera etc but nothing happens. Please can you let me know if this app is still active.

    Thanks

    Jeremy
