We would love to make this possible in the future! It is a huge project that require re-writing our item, fields and table layout but hopefully will be possible to achieve.

    Thanks for pushing us forward.

I totally agree. What's the status about this feature? Any updates? Thanks!

This is huge, and is one of the main features of our previous management software that makes us want to go back.

This is super important. I am finding myself exporting to exell and then importing back when i have large lists edits to make (aka more then 5)

I feel this is very important for PODIO because its especially important for new users - they have to clean their data when moving to podio, and without this a huge amount of back and forth is required,

I know it's a workaround, but Excel import and export allows you to unleash a full power of any tool you have for mass editing quite easily.

@Daniel, I agree export/edit/import it can be a workaround for bulk editing, but not for usual data management.

Apart from being an error-prone practice, if I have to export/import from excel to gain an acceptable usability, I prefer to give up with Podio and to switch to any online spreadsheet service, like  Smartsheets, Google Docs, SkyDrive, Zoho ...

One of the strongest podio feature is the easy and fast customization of "apps"=sheets, allowing to collect any meaningful item that a project manager has to monitor and control, supported by  the collaborations tools used in nowadays work environments.

I am long waiting for podio team switching their efforts from "collaboration feature enhancement" (following more the wave than their user needs, IMHO) to "data management enhancement".

Inline editing, extended calculations and flexible reporting can help professionals like me in usual business operations much more than some shiny collaboration gadget.

As much as I agree that inline editing would be time saver I have to add that thinking about apps as sheets seems limited to me unless any of the mentioned servies has an option to create a linked item field and choose dynamic values from other "sheets" it's comparing apples to oranges.

Inline editing should really be the beginning of this conversation. Any portal worth its salt prioritizes both inline and BULK editing. It blows my mind how much time I waste clicking and loading various pages in Podio just to make a few, let alone many, edits.

If Podio is to become a TRULY powerful platform, it will implement the features that empower the user to not only use it effectively, but use it efficiently.

There are only so many clicks one man can take.... jk.

I really want this to. An option to change the status or project owner of many items with few clicks. Inline editing or bulk editing seems like a great idea!

As of now I have to export to excel, and import back, just to do small changes.

    @Chris Klemmetvold:

Take a look at cards view.

For changing categories, people and such a thing it's both easy to see and easy to change. You just drag and drop between columns and/or rows.

Not Podio core but a nice solution. Did not use it myself yet.

Plus 100. Now that Airtable is really ramping up, this feels like a core item for you guys. Would dramatically improve experience!

Must say I already moved to Airtable with a few Podio accounts I had. Their improvements are implemented so much faster..
