It's almost 2018, What's the status of two way sync for Google Calendar. We have used Podio for years but this calendar issue is a deal breaker for us moving forward. The Podio Calendar is garbage and Google Calendar has become increasingly important for our entire growing company. If this feature isn't possible yet or in the works to be possible soon we will be leaving Podio before 2018.

Any update re: 2-way integration with Google Calendar? The feature would be extremely useful!

This is pretty silly at this point. This has been one of the top requests for a LOOOOOOONG time now. This is a standard integration with any other software we use or have reviewed. In fact, it feels like development on Podio has all but dried up once it was moved to the US. Podio... What is going on? The lack of development is a huge red flag for us. We love you, but you're concerning us greatly.

Hi Scott and everyone following this thread.

Could you help us understand what you are missing of functionality in terms of the two-way sync, we would love more details to what specific sync you will like to see (Google Apps is a broad topic):

We currently offer the options to:

My assumption is what you are looking for is a way to edit your Podio events directly in Google, is this correct? Please confirm.

If not, what is the core sync you are looking to see?

    Thanks for any feedback!

Hi Sara, Thanks for the response.  We use Google Apps for business (though I think it's called something different now).  It would be great if the calendar sync is true - 2 way calendar sync.  So if I make a change in Google calender it syncs back to Podio and vice versa.  This, as far as I am aware, is still not possible.

I'd also like to see a 2 way sync with Google Contacts as well.

Also, I want you to know I love Podio.. I've poured my blood, sweat, and tears into Podio, but it does seem fairly stagnant in the development area these days.  Can you shed any light on what the goals are for development through 2018 and into 2019?  Thanks again.

    Yes Sara, you're correct.

Currently you can edit an event in Google Calendar and it will sync with Podio but you can't do the inverse.

At best, you can "Export to external calendar" from Podio which will create a new user in your Google Calendar (user named 'Podio') and it will sync with it, not with your actual calendar. So you then need that extra step to manually sync both calendars within Google.

I think what people have been after for the last 5 years of this thread is a full 2-way sync, where it doesn't matter where you create/update an event, both environments will be perfectly in sync.

Ok, I have been out of podio for pretty long now but.. after 6 years (no I can't make it large and red).. still no real 2-way integration?
Now I know why my friends not heard about podio :/ I love it when I have been using it but then it was a hype.. something new, cool, with perspective. I'm still at this point getting notifications about this topic. SIX YEARS after. And don't get me wrong I do not intend to insult anyone, but nor your programmers are just not good enough nor you (owners) just don't care. And as I know programmers, they do care.. so..

Yeah, at this point I don't get why anyone would bother with Podio, left is years ago and have not missed it at all even though we had a fairly advanced integration.

It's sort of like Wordpress - nothing really works without coding, tricks or plugins :)

Darn. I just spent a few weeks getting podio set up before I realized how janky the calendar is. By the looks of things I'm going to have to build a custom integration and make an app for calendar events. Pretty disappointing but at this point we are too invested to switch gears. Plus the other systems we were looking into charged ridiculous prices. If anyone at Podio is still getting notifications for this thread maybe you can get someone to work on this. It would probably increase your sales significantly. While I'm here I'd also like to suggest the ability to filter calendar events based on who is assigned to them. In our old system we would often filter the calendar to specific employees to see what time slots were available to set appointments.

Edit: This is in relation to a workspace calendar which currently does not support syncing events from google calendar.
