printing reports (views)

Printio doesn't work anymore. i often need to print my filtered reports (views) . Excel export is not an efficient way because of refinement, time consuming, etc. Pls add print function to the saved views.

Hey all,
We have some great news to share today! You can now print any page in Podio from your browser. With this release it is now possible to for example print a filtered view of certain app items and get it on print, looking exactly like it does in Podio.

I really am curious as to why Podio is so resistant to at least supporting the most basic version of this, making printing from the browser work. So many people have been asking, for so long, and every time the Podio CSRs say "thank you for your feedback" and "we have no plans to support this". It's not even adding a feature, it's fixing the bug which breaks the browser printing.
For the table view, which in my guess would be the main view that people are trying to print, there is a table class="data" (inside the <div class="items-table items-container">). If you reduce the page to this, using a browser extension such as Aardvark or HackTheWeb, then the browser's own print command does a perfectly acceptable job. Is it not possible to set a print stylesheet, so that nothing but this table is printed? Or a command that generates a new page with just this table, that can be printed?
I know that there's nothing a developer hates more than clients saying "this should be easy"; but given the many customers who have been asking for this for so long, perhaps the least that Podio could do is explain why it's so much harder than it seems, and why you're choosing not to address it?

I would like to vote for this to become a priority. Exporting a PDF of the reports is absolutely critical to share the data in this software with our advisors and clients and employees. If we could simply print, then the computer provides an option to 'print to PDF.' But getting the reports out of podio and in my briefcase to a meeting is kind of the whole reason I am personally using podio. Right now I have to show them on my computer because they have no interest in learning podio (old fashioned non-tech). And because I have to do that they are even less included to use podio.

For those users who are looking to print/export report views, please read:
background: 1. you CANNOT print report views directly 2. you CAN print page views. 3. with your reports pulled up, "printing the page" will only print the data behind it in the app & not the reports themselves.
Solution
Steps:
1. Add your reports to the "workspace page"
2. Navigate to the "workspace page" with your activity stream on the left and your reports on the right
3. Print this page.
4. Make adjustments where needed to fit on page.Podio formats the entire page in a printable version and prints your reports on the right with the activity stream on the left. Printing the activity stream is useful, actually... however, I would still like to just hit a print button in the reports view.
Hope this is helpful to all the users out there looking to share report data easily and spread the power of podio!!
Tip
Mac users: when you print -- in the bottom left dropdown, select the format "mail PDF" to directly EXPORT the PDF in an email!!!! -
a workaround we use:
- install a firefox plugin like screengrab: https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/screengrab-fix-version/?src=userprofile
- turn your podio view to fullscreen
- grab the whole page (not the viewport only) as PNG
The image is cropped to the screen width, and saved as a raster PNG format, good to be included in powerpoint or similar
Of course a PDF export provided by Podio could be better and more scaleable (vectors + fonts)

Hi everyone.
I would like to implement Podio for someone, but they rely heavily on print to give those data to insurance company.
I want to filter appointment from one client. (screen1)
Problem : I can only print appointment one by one. Crasy ! I may have hundred to print out per day.
I want to be able to print out all the results all together. (like screen2).
I really think that it's easy to implement.

Being able to print views and reports would not only make it easier to communicate with our clients I think it would also have a tremendous ROI for Podio as many of us would be able to recommend the service without hesitation or caveats. Whenever I recommend the product to someone I always have to caveat it with 'but printing reports or lists will be an issue'. I consider myself extremely proficient at excel and the adobe suite but spending time to export and then reformat information in another program, after I've already sorted and formatted the info in Podio is terribly inefficient.
Any chance someone on the Podio team could let us know what the tipping point would be to get this functionality pushed to top priority (more votes, more money, more programmers, etc.). I think many of us would be willing to help to get this issue resolved.

If you want more votes you get them - I agree that this feature is a clear must-have! Even if it is "only" for the song lists (different dance styles) of the band I´m playing in, I understand that for many Podio users this would take away a lot of pain. The Excel workaround is not a real option!
