    Hi all,

Since earlier this year, you can now filter relationship fields in Podio!

By using filters in the App view, you can now filter out certain items from your apps by saving a view of your liking and use that for filtering in the app template.

This will give you a better way of archiving app items and decide only to have active items show up in your relationships.

with the latest addition of being able to share items, archiving items is more important to me than archiving apps

+1 . i strongly needed this, again.. it would be great to archive any item in different apps with just one click, so that we will not need to archive same item in every different app, again and again. Let's say you record staff names in app NAMES, in another app - say HEALTH RECORDS - you record the ages of the staff which is gathered from NAMES. and lets say, staff A left the job. my point is that:** i must be able to archive all items related with staff A with just one click.** if i click archive staff A in app NAMES, none of the reports of HEALTH RECORDS should show staff A, unless otherwise pointed specifically. i hope it is clear. thank you.

    Hello Podios!

Archiving is a must, and becomes an absolute must as users accumulate "items". Filtering out "inactive" items is a very clumsy workaround, as you need to apply an extra filter every time you create/use a view.

Frankly, the question is whether your marketing strategy relies on people looking at your opening page and signing up - or you'd rather keep existing users happy, causing them to make Podio "viral" if they are:-)

    Best of luck,

    Ilya

+1. Need to archive resolved inquiries so we don't keep having to filter them out. We add about 30-50 items to one of our apps each day. As you can imagine, it's going to get pretty crowded.

+1 - Has the archiving question been answered somewhere else? Can we add a field to an app such as "Archive, category, Yes/No" and then create a view that shows data for the app only if "Archive=NO" ... has someone already created an example of this?

@Adil; Has anyone made a script that will gather up all items linked to a key field (like an employee ID number), and then change item status? (e.g. setting "Archive=YES" for all items linked by that key...)

@Neil, not now unfortunately or at least i dont know. Maybe we can collect money to make developers write a code for us. Anyone knows those web sites for funding projects? I forgot them. Podio does not seem to add this feature. :(

Yea - not having archiving has been a showstopper for us with pushing Podio through other departments in our company. At a point where we're actively looking for other options. Any updates here?

Having used Podio for almost a year now, with a lot of active apps and discussions, we're seriously considering switching if the archiving is not resolved within a short and defined time frame.

Dear Podios, it's hardly an impossible task - are you guys just ignoring the (very real) needs of your customers - or are you simply aiming at much smaller organizations?

Please! I need to do this for Events once they have passed. Otherwise my registration webform still has expired events and confuses customers.

Is this still being explored? I would love to have archive features. We use these apps with webforms here for hiring purposes. I'd like to be able to archive job openings so they don't show up in the webform dropdown.
