Public Labels
Currently the labels are private. No one else can see how you classified the item.
Allow public labels to share the classification.

There are plenty of people who use the private labels (myself included, it helps me keep my tasks organized), though I do see that it makes sense to have public ones as well! We have a lot on our list right now and unfortunately this one isn't a priority. Have you considered using a task app instead? Then you could use tags as your labels, which are visible to everyone:

Hi Jacquelyn,
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I could do that, but that adds extra few clicks to an already a bit clunky workflow podio has... I'd have to leave the deliverable, go to the Tasks app, create new, fill in data, link to the deliverable, save...
Project Management apps are supposed to make your life easier not create more work for you... -
Ah, you have to have the Relationship field within your Projects app. Based on your screenshot I can see that the field is in the Deliverables app.
If you add it to the Projects app instead, then you will see that you can create a new deliverable right from that field.

Muamer - it's likely you also need to unfollow the Feature request forum, as you can opt to follow all topics and comments from there as well. So unfollow from this page:

Nick - there are 2 sides to a relationship. One side is where you add the actual field via the app template. This is where you create the link to a related item (i.e. in a Deliverables app, selecting a Project to relate from your Projects app). On the other side (i.e. in the Projects app in my example), you will also see the related Deliverables in a "Related Items" section.
Your screenshot is showing that "Related Items" section, which tells me the relationship field does not live inside that app you are viewing, but instead is on the other side, in your Deliverables app.
If you want to be able to create a new Deliverable when viewing a Project, you will need to instead modify your Projects app and add a Relationship field to your Deliverables app from there. So you are just moving the Relationship to the other side. As it is now, you can create a new Project from your Deliverables app, since this is where the Relationship field lives, not the other way around.
You can always give it a try as a test just so you can see how it looks :)
Hope that makes more sense?

Well as I explained this only works from the side that contains the relationship field, and that is not the side you're showing in your screenshot.
Our help center article has a screenshot to show you how it looks:

+1
Labels are extremely important for us when it comes to delegating tasks to other team members. Also related to this would be to be able to set labels in workflows.
For example, an automatically generated task to send an invoice would always be in the context of something like "accounting" or "administration".

Sara Høeg Højlund-Rasmussen Hi Sara. I'm not sure if you're still with Podio or not since I saw a reply from you on this thread from 8 years ago.
I just upvoted this and want to bring it to Podio's attention that this is something that we, as active Podio users still need.
Maybe now that Cisco owns Podio, there will be further developments such as this highly requested, relatively simple improvement of making the built-in task labels public so that all members of a workspace can see them.
