I think it's a must have functionality? I'm a new user. Can't understand how people manage to work without it.
UPDATE 4/10/13:

+1 This is essential.
Maybe it can be combined with editing multiple items at once? In Gmail or Wordpress, you can select multiple items (posts/mails) and change a status (unread/read, publish/draft, etc.) or change a category (like labels in Gmail or category in WordPress)
+1 We NEED this functionality to be in here. Our PMs do a lot of item manipulation in a day. Anything we can do to lessen their carpal tunnel syndrome would be much appreciated.
I have to delete 375 items. A bulk deletion option is very much appreciated.
@Gustav: What's the current status of that missing functionality? I urgently need a solution for here. Thanks for your help.
Burkart: Nothing has changed in the status of this, we are still working on it as hard as we can.

Even Gmail has this feature. :-)
Yes, please!
Also, a way to Edit multiple items is needed, too. I just imported 105 sales prospects, and now I need to put them all into an "Industry" category. But I don't have time to waste to do this one by one. I can't seem to be able to edit multiple items at once.
And I'll definitely need Multiple Delete eventually, as well. Thanks guys.
It's obvious this needs to happen. Im not sure about the delay though. We are a web development company, and this feature requires some simple database functions... perhaps there's something conflicting? either way it will be needed if the product is to survive...

;)
+1 for bulk delete.
Pls. make this happen... I don't undestand why this is so difficult.. This is really basic function.
+1 selectable delete and mass update.
some ideas: i used before salesforce.com, and was too complicated, against podio which is is really a common leightweighted platform for all roles in the company. Understand and agree to handle features more social way. this is what i like on podio. BUT there are some basic features what are important to serious work, like delete data. and not find fake solution instead.
Other hand congrats to podio !
Needs to happen. Please
+1 - without it, this is a massively flawed product...which is really, really unfortunate, because it seems incredibly cool and powerful.
I'm glad this is getting more traction. I do believe it is a very important feature (along with data backups - vital!). I have a hard time paying for something that has no backups or mass edit/delete ;)

Adding my vote for batch edit/delete!!
Podio is a great-looking product and I'd like to test it out. However, editing database entries one at a time is so painful I may stick with my current CRM just to avoid wasting the time.
Hope this feature is in the pipeline and coming soon!
Wow half of year
Just need this as well, was looking and I thought it was me not looking properly... but there's no bulk delete option :(
Hope you can add it soon!!
So, +1 here
Regards,
+1 for being able to change a category for multiple items at the same time. You also have to do this one by one.
Is there a status update with bulk delete? I am using listening app and it is daunting to delete unneeded posts.thx
PODIO does alot of thing right and but this is not one of them, please lets get a bulk delete. your killing me!
The lack of this functionality is crippling for my organization, and obviously many others.
It really limits your ability to work with large amounts of data (read: scale).
Please provide updates when this is done - surprised it is taking so long.
Podio is such a simple and powerful tool, but the lack of batch delete/edit is a dealbreaker. Don't know how other functionality rose to the top before this... I'm crossing my fingers it happens soon. Thanks!
BTW, quick question: is there a section of your site where one can check on recent aditions to the software? Like improvements you add from time to time?
Regards!
