Limit of 20 items?

Hi guys,

I am using Klipfolio and have an issue where Podio is only returning 20 items when I post a JSON request, even though there are 60+ items in the count at the top of the JSON statement. I've tried every variation of I can think of to change the limit returned, but it does not change at all.

Any ideas why it would only return 20 items?

Thanks!

I'm going to guess that you are using Filter Items to get a list of items: https://developers.podio.com/doc/items/filter-items-4496747

As you can see there's a "limit" parameter that will control how many items are returned. How you change that limit parameter in klipfolio I don't know. You'd have to contact klipfolio to find out. We certainly support getting more items from our end.

All the best,

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for responding. I've been in touch with Klipfolio support and they've even tried every way they know to get the limit parameter to take effect and said we'd need to contact you.

Will keep trying...

Thanks,

Allen

I too find myself only receiving 20 items from  a [POST  /item/app/{app_id}/filter/] call even though 1.) the documentation specifies a default of 30 and 2.) I am passing in a much higher value (limit=1000 for example).

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Steve,

The default may have changed to 20 items without the documentation being changed. Sorry about that. The maximum limit is 500, requesting a higher number will result in you getting the default number of items.

All the best,

I find that it doesn't matter if I pass in a limit or not, I always get 20 items.

Hi Steve,

All requests to the Podio API must have JSON content in the HTTP body. So you need to send {limit: 100} along with the appropriate HTTP headers.

Ah, thanks.    Obviously I made the erroneous assumption that the parameters in the Request section were to be submitted as name/value pairs as part of the POST action.   I'll revisit my code.

Hi Allen,
I am trying to connect podio with Klipfolio. I know which methods I need to use from podio, I also know that I need to retrieve data using web accessible resource in Klipfolio and using Json data format.

What I want to know is what URL should I use in the URL text and how to pass the parameters to "get-app-field" in podio, I would appreciate if you can explain me the steps to get the podio data into klipfolio using URL and parameters.

I have gone through the following URL https://klipfolio.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/142437-use-podio-as-a-data-source but it was not very helpful for me. I appreciate your help

Thanks
