Looks like Harvest has new functionality to do an "easy add" - curious how this will work w/Podio? http://www.getharvest.com/platform

Anyone can do their own Harvest integration using the APIs of both platforms, nothing is changed there. Of course that's a lot of work.

The new "platform" feature looks nice, and I guess we could add it to Podio if time tracking support got prioritized. However, it is unclear for me going through their docs how authentication against Harvest is done. It's not mentioned at all, so I can only assume that you would have to be logged into Harvest when visiting Podio for this work.

Also, if we do implement time tracking at some point, we would probably prefer it not to be tied up to a particular service such as Harvest. Rather it should perhaps be possible to synchronize duration fields with Harvest and other popular time tracking services in the background.

@Casper,  your reply makes sense.  How about an option to integrate with Harvest or Freshbooks?  Those seem to be the most popular 2 billing platforms.  I'd love to also be able to get Estimates and Invoices automatically sent to Podio from Harvest.  I am doing this now via "email to app" feature, but at this time, I am not able to have it auto-populate App fields with data from the Estimate/Invoice.

I'm also highly interested in a solid integration of harvest, sync clients, projects and tasks, so that i continue to use the highly intuitive features harvest has provided me with over the last 2 years. I kinda miss, a good time tracking option in Podio when work is being done on deliverables, and tasks...

While I was looking for some good time tracking tool such as Harvest, I just came across Replicon's hassle free cloud based time management software - http://www.replicon.com/time-tracking-softwares.aspx solution. So, started using the same and it has been quite effective and nice easy to use product suite.

Still not sure if Podio can only work with Harvest or the one I mentioned?

Another vote for solid integration with Harvest. Even the way Basecamp integrates is sufficient for me (via a Chrome extension which puts a little button to tasks in Basecamp; click the button and it opens a little Harvest lightbox prepopulated with the project and task so I can just enter some time on it, or start the timer).

Regardless of how, this is a priority for me (especially since I have ZenCash then connected to Harvest), and as a result I'm likely to hold off on using Podio for now.

    Thanks for listening!

Oh, just saw that the Basecamp integration works exactly as outlined on Harvest's platform page. http://www.getharvest.com/platform

Please please put their "Add time tracking to your web application in 15 minutes" claim to the test! :)

I attempted to integrate with Harvest, and it failed.  I tried Zapier, but with so many options and unclarity, it just wasn't worth my time.

What I would LOVE to see is the effort put toward integration with external tools shifted to building these tools in Podio.  Podio could be a VERY powerful tool, and all it needs are refinements.  Please update us on projects you guys are working on, let us know what to expect.

    Thank you!

Any update on this? This is literally the only piece I'm missing to have a complete workflow and it's killing me!
