There is no way to specify what text should be displayed in an embed. We rely on the 3rd party service Embedly for extracting title, description and images from a given url. You can try out what they extract from different urls here. I believe you can control the texts by specifying them in meta-tags and/or Facebook open graph meta tags on the page you are linking to.
How to specify the text that appears in an embed
I am creating status messages in a workspace's activity stream programmatically.
I create an embed first with the URL of an item in a Podio app. This automatically adds as it's descriptive text, the contents of the only large text area.
Is there a way to specify what fields should be displayed in an embed like this?

Casper. this mean, if i want to show i.e. in activity stream change of BUG status, then we need to use here embedly ? is it pre-integrated or it is in plan ? I cant find in content provider list.
No, when an item is changed, e.g. the status of a bug, it is automatically shown in the activity stream. It has nothing to do with embeds.
oh, understand. anyway
i test the ", e.g. the status of a bug, it is automatically shown in the activity stream" - see attached file - so i awaited exact string field status changed from -> to.
if i understand you use to attach web pages to stream embed.ly. there many providers, which are supported, so you support some of them or all ? how to use ? how we can embed something like scribd presentation ? directly viewable like in facebook ?
