    I'm also curious about the plans for this feature.

    Since I first found Podio ~2 years ago it has been the only thing that is keeping us from migrating our CRM to Podio.

    I want to be able to create a new lead straight away, and create new companies and contacts directly from the lead page. Without having to pause and first add content in other pages in the process, if it turns out the company is not already in the system. Or start creating a new company and add contacts from within that page.

    I think a feature like this would make the experience much smoother.

    I'll keep checking now and then.

    I really-really would love to see that feature! Please!!!!!!!!

    It is especially useful for referenced app fields that are used in calculated fields. Say I have a customers and a payments apps. If I want a calculated "total paid" field in the customers app I must explicitly add payments app reference field to customers and once I add a payment I must also open that customer and add that payment there too. That's double the administrative work and a huge scope for errors. If I could add payments from withing a customer it would make it perfect!

    Yes, any update on this?  This would be a great feature for work flow.  

    Were thinking of using this for many features including a IT ticket system where Users and Devices are separate apps that are referenced.  When taking a tech call and creating a ticket it would be extremely helpful if it would create these via the reference or even open a new window that we can create the item in.

    A little scary that this has been sitting open for so long.  Very excited on how everything else is working and looks.  Also the mobile app on iOS is great.

    This would really add up to the functoinality, because we could create referenced items this way. In our podio setup it is the number 1 thing missing!

    Any updates to this feature?  I really want to add the app reference and have it operate like the contact features in the contact app.  +Add New Contact in he drop down list and have in be a CRM contact not a workspace member

    This is not the only thread where this is mentioned. It's an obvious core functionality and it's been on the list for years. I'm fed up trying to get colleagues to use Podio without this function - too many questions for me on why isn't this name showing because I assigned person X to companyA...

    +1 While adding a deal and having to leave the window to add a client to associate to the deal is a bit long. Would much prefer if it was all done in one single window.
