Need a "Field Reference" Field

In conjunction with a TRUE "App Reference" field[1] it would be very helpful to have a "Field Reference" field that is scoped to the App selected in the App Reference field.

Use case: My bot that assigns Tasks to users needs to know the App item field in what I am calling a "Task-related App" that is a Contact field and thus is the person to assign to the Task that mirrors the Task-related App item. I can have the user enter the field name but if the admin later changes the field name in the App it breaks the bot.

  The app fields have an external_id attribute, that is a generated string based on the name of the field. This id never changes even if the name of the field is changed.

  Thus you can just store this external_id instead of the field_id.

  @Christian - True, but the user cannot see that value and they cannot select it

  I've added you to the workspace where I need what I'm asking for. The workspace is called Podio Bot in the Great Jakes organization.

  @Christian - Also, your suggestion for storing "field_id" _in "external_id" _ breaks down if I need to reference multiple fields, which I do.
