Assign task to record creator & automatic due date
Hi,
A couple of questions, but probably easiest if I explain the scenario. I've set up an app for 'clients' into which we input all information for a new client. A new record triggers a number of tasks, which is great, but ideally we need these to be intelligently assigned to the correct person. There are two ways I could see this working, and I'm not sure if either is currently possible:
- Modify app such that task is assigned to whoever creates the record (i.e. whichever user is inputting the new client information - as this will invariably be the new clients' account manager).
- Task is assigned based on another field in the app - in this case one of the fields is 'Account Manager', which allows us to pick a user who is responsible for the client. It would be great if the automatic tasks could be assigned based on the user in that field.
Also, it would be fantastic if we could set due dates/reminders on these 'triggered'/automatic tasks, e.g. when a new client record is created, a task is triggered for that user to chase up payment, due 3 days after the record is created.
Hopefully I've explained this clearly! Are any of these features currently available or in the pipeline?
Thanks
