Is there a way I can export My Tasks to Excel or otherwise create a report (without having to create a Tasks app)?

  Thanks for sharing Dave.

  Our general recommendation as you are already following will be to use an app to manage tasks that requires shared reports and team deliverables.

  The Podio task feature is meant as "quick to-dos" and personal reminders and not meant for shared task overview and reporting.

  For better reporting of completed tasks, we recommend using an app:

  I can't believe this is not an option. Podio is so great at importing and exporting, it needs to be available for Tasks as well.

  Hi PJ - you would need to use a tasks app to have that functionality. There's not a way to export Podio tasks at the moment.

  Here is our challenge though... We have created a task app but are unable to get the same check off functionality. So the UX is its really more of an appointment with details then a task.

  The progress bar is useful here but what we really need is the ability to create a true custom task app that creates a list of tasks, that can provide reminders, due date, get checked off when done, print like a list, and be reported out for analysis.

  I am happy to use the API or develop a custom App, which I am also happy share it with everyone in the Podio community. Just let me know its conceptually possible with the available dev tools and Ill get to it.

  We try using the projects pack, but as the projects were related to the tasks, we had bad experience on opening lots of screens for seeing everything from the projects.

  Another question was about permissions. Using only one projects app, with all the information whithin it, and the deliverables as tasks, we could have the projects workspace private and share only the project items.

  The bad thing now is that we can't export or report these tasks.

  4 years and this still isn't a thing :-/ Find myself trying to transfer hundreds of tasks to deliverables in a new app, but basically have to copy paste each individual one.
