How can I get an email or SMS whenever an item is added to a discussion app?

We have a workspace with a discussion app that we'd like to use to collaborate on customer support issues.  However, responses are time sensitive, so team members need to be alerted immediately so they know to respond in Podio. How can this be done?

  GlobiFlow is now a part of Citrix, which means it is possible to send SMS and emails if you're organization is on a Premium plan.
