Unfollow all items from an app

    Hi all,

We actually have a workaround for this question. If you leave the workspace, you will automatically unfollow all items in the apps. So the workaround will be to:

    - Leave the workspace where you want to unfollow all items from all

    - Get invited back into workspace by a colleague

    - Manually follow the items you will like to follow.

Another option would be to use an "admin" account to do the import and general update work to avoid having your personal user follow too many items.

Final option would be to use this beta feature (not officially supported yet) to see all the workspaces and apps you are following and do a big bulk "unfollow": https://podio.com/home#subscriptions

    Hi Stephan.

I have an answer for you from Mette @ podio

    Mette Krogsgaard Højlund

In the side bar of the app, just below the app name there is a follow icon. You can click this to unfollow the app. If you are for example importing many things or changing many items and don't want to generate notifications, you can turn off notifications for the app in the app builder under "advanced settings"

does that make sense and work for you?

Unfortunately, that doesn't work. You can unfollow an app, but you can't unfollow all items (that you're already following) at once.

I'm having this same issue. I've imported a load of items from a spreadsheet and its marked me as following them all. How do I stop getting notifications any time someone updates one of them?

I'm planning on more imports and don't want to follow everything.

I would have expect this to be when you select all items with a checkbox but the only action available is delete.

Bulk actions for more than just delete would be really useful, we had an instance where we wanted to bulk assign a category and had to go through them all individually...

Does anyone know if it possible to unfollow entire apps or items from the Podio mobile app?

I am having this problem too.

I need access to an app for reference but do not need to be notified of activity.

Note I am NOT following the app (icon is blue) but I am still notified of individual item changes.

+1 for following and unfollowing items.

    +1!

It would be really great. Currently, I can't use the notification system since I inserted a lot of raw data into Podio, and I'm constantly getting notifications from them.

We are having the same issues. And it looks like they haven't fixed it in the two years from this forum. This problem makes notifications useless. Please Podio admin, please have an Unfollow all for the entries made when the user was following the app. We had a recruiting app that received 2000 entries before I unfollowed them, now I would have to go through each entry and check unfollow, 2000 times in order to not get updates on them. That is only one example I have. If this has been fixed please update. Thanks

Is there a request for that? We have the same issue! Should have choice to what we want to automatically follow or not (it's not because we interact with an item that we want to follow it!)

Hi all, thanks for voting on this - we are constantly reevaluating ideas and how to improve our features. Every vote brings us one step closer!

Thanks again for sharing - and please keep the votes coming!

I can't understand why this request hasn't been made a proper feature yet. Seems like it would help reduce notification flood.

@nunzio not an option, since globiflow uses that feature, and i need it to be 'on'.

I need this feature BADLY. In our company we're getting a constant notification overflow, making the notification area useless.

I want the option to not automatically follow items that I've created or edited. Please integrate this much needed feature

This also has an effect on the personal calendar, since all items that are created by the user that include a date/time are shown in the personal calendar. Turning off 'show in calendar' only affects workspace calendars.

As a system developer for my company who builds/modifies workspaces for multiple internal teams, I end up having to spend HOURS unfollowing hundreds of items that I auto-follow during my work, otherwise suffer constant notifications and popups that drown out updates from my own team's workspace. What a waste of productivity and patience. We really need a bulk unfollow method for this.

    Any updates?

    Hi Emily,

leave the workspace and let invite you again (if necessary). That would "unfollow" you all items in the workspace.

    @Rainer Grabowski

Thank you! That worked out well. A little inconvenient, but a great work around until the Podio team hopefully adds some functionality for this.

    I appreciate the tip!

    This fix is long overdue.

I don’t want to have to unfollow an entire workspace just to remove the follows from a bunch of items I’ve just created in one of its apps. I need to be able to unfollow items by app.

    Where is Podio’s response?

Yup, this is a big problem here. Developed all of our workspaces and am subscribed to hundreds and hundreds of items unnecessarily. Please consider a fix!

+1  this is still an issue and REALLY needs a solution.

Leaving the entire workspace and coming back works but has other unwanted consequences for items followed in other apps of the same workspace. Please help us out here!

Wow - this is a three year problem with no solution? I need to unfollow so I can have a meaningful calendar view. Can't I just have a setting that requires me to "follow" if I want to and not auto assign me to follow when things are created?

Same issue here.  The notification system is unusable and ends up with 100's of notifications per day.  Maybe allow us to choose whether to automatically follow items we create ourselves, or not.  It seems like flawed logic for a heavy use utility such as this.

The notifications are useless for us because we can't unfollow items. Sad to see there is no solution for this.
