Why don't we have conditional logic yet?
AnsweredI've love to be able to say, "Insert this question only if the answer to the previous question is A". Then when someone chooses A, they are given a set of questions, and if they choose B, then they are given another set of questions. If Gravity Forms can do it, then I would think Podio should be able to do it.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to perform this sort of operation?

If you'd like to have forms with conditional logic and you are using WordPress, Gravity Forms has awesome conditional logic — not just for showing/hiding fields — but with the Gravity Forms + Podio integration*, you can use conditional logic for creating app items (determining whether or not to create an item when the form is submitted) and even dynamically determining which app to create the item in, at the time of form submission.

+1. Stephen asked this 2 years ago. Despite the advances in workflow, still no conditional logic for forms. I am also a big fan of Podio. Our company is using this for only 6 months and it helps a lot, but some limitations are so basic, considering they are avaliable in several other cloud apps. Main issues, for me are: conditional logic, printing custom templates (TecheGo has an odd and expensive extension) and more options to allowances for users. Hiding some apps for different users in workspaces would be very helpful, once we would like to share some, but not all the information with everybody. Also, more options on private/public tasks would be better, just like Redbooth does. Anyway, like Stephen said, those are core functions to a company.

Hi @sara, I hope this are good news! Only to make myself clear, when I mentioned condicional logic for forms, I mean being allowed to change de visibility of some fields of the app form, just like Gravity forms (www.gravityforms.com), Google Forms and many others are able to.
It might make some sence to add to workflow, but in general this functionality should appear on form template. It is not simply about creating nor modifing tasks or fields. It needs to modify the visibility fields that appears in the form itself, according to preview aswers at begining. This is a very good feature to avoid too extensive forms nor have multiple apps with less fields, instead.
Hope we are talking the same. =)

Yes - I would like to see conditional logic referencing different apps eg. For my Help Desk app web form, it references my "Companies" app and my "Clients" app which also reference each other. So in the web form, if a user is submitting a ticket and selects their company name from the dropdown, the web form should filter down to list just the single clients attached to that company for the user to select, but at present is shows them ALL the clients I have in my client app - regardless of the fact that they have selected their company. Hope that makes sense.
I also would like to display other fields for input based on selection of previous question in general, but if that were purely my aim, I would just use Gravity Forms/Zapier. It's the inter-app referencing in web forms that I would like conditional logic for. Or is there a way to do that now and I"m missing something.

This question/recommendation was in specific to webforms (hiding/showing podio fields) based on if/then conditional logic. The official answer is Advanced Workflow, however, it appears this isn't quite the OP was asking for. Are there any updates coming to the webform to add showing/hiding of fields based on answers to other fields in the webform?
