Assign task to a group which will be grabbed by an individual

Hi

I have a need to create a task and assign to a team.  A team member must decide to pick it up from the pool and re-assign it later if need be.  Is this possible and if not, what is the alternative for this kind of setup?

  Hi Sudhashen,

  I would recommend using a tasks app for this, with each item in the app being a task. That way your team members can access the app to see which items have not been picked up yet, and they can assign tasks to themselves or reassign them to someone else.

  Would that work?

  What do you mean by this?  Do you mean assigning it to a person in the tasks options in the modify app area?

  We have a request app that gets automatically assigned to someone, but if they don't act on it, we end up not knowing about it.  I don't see an option or support for assigning it to a group (I guess this is possible , but realize that lots of people seem to miss this point.  We feel like we need to keep checking certain apps and that a workflow is not quite there in the "tasks apps" if that's what you mean by that term.

  This is not convenient as the type of tasks are relevant to to various groups,  If there is a list of tasks, people will have to look at each one to determine if it applies to them.

  You can use a contact field to assign the tasks to members of your team, and then each person can use filters to view only the tasks assigned to them:

  The same goes for finding relevant tasks - you can just add a Category field to the tasks app, then have your colleagues use filters to search for tags marked with a certain category.
