Feature requests
AnsweredI've got many feature requests to make Podio even better, but I'm not sure if these forums are the right place for it, because we (users) can't vote for them.
You can submit a request, but they remain 'secret'. I think the Podio community can improve existing feature requests or describe an alternative or work around.
Why doesn't Podio use Get Satisfaction, User Voice, or a similar service? It would encourage me to send more suggestions/feature requests!

I agree! There is no public road map and the input process feels a little ad hoc on this end. Many of us have high hopes for improvement/maturity, but I am afraid some people are either not upgrading or choosing an alternative because of a lack of a road map and organized public input.

Public roadmap issue set aside, the main problem lies with posts sorting here...
Most favorited sorting definitely introduces a strong snowball effect bias that makes the whole thing pretty much useless, IMO (why I won't use it anyway). People come, see that chat feature is on top of the list (has been for months now... not mentioning “ANy plans to build an iPad app?” ;o), click “Me too” (why not?) and most obviously don't bother digging other features out of this maze (i.e. past the first page)... This and if they even bother filing a feature request, they're even likely to never find their own post back...
Most favorited is ok (or is it?) as default, but what's the rationale behind _disabling_ user based sorting (as seen on Zendesk's forum itself) altogether?...

How would this hurt, or take more support time? That alone may even make it feel like Podio is hindering transparency (while I'm sure it's not the case).
No public roadmap is one thing, keeping as is such an obscur and tedious feature request channel is another one ;o)

It will definitely not hurt and we will launch this shortly.
I'm the owner of this project and I will be happy to let you know when it's done.
We're looking to create a Feature Request forum (including voting) and then use the General Discussion forum more for what it should be; discussions between people about how to get the most out of Podio.
I'm also looking forward to this a lot.

Hey Adrien, it can't really be done in three clicks for us since we use a heavily modified Zendesk version with amongst other things user authentification integration to Podio. But we'll definitely consider it for future versions of the Help Centre (no ETA at the moment Stephan, but I'm on it)!

Does it take days, weeks or months? My feature request list is getting longer and longer and I can't wait to share it with both Podio's developers and other users.
I think Podio is a great product, but I'm disappointed about the user input (i.e. https://help.podio.com/entries/21724222-how-do-i-delete-many-line-items-at-once). Please take our input serious.

I'm sure you will, but I can't see it ;-) The " How do I delete many line items at once"-feature is the most popular request at the moment and there is still no answer, not even an ETA. Why does it take more than 6 months?
I've got a lot of feature requests and I want to share it on a way that others users can rank and improve my ideas, but that's a waste of time if it's not clear that you're taking our feedback serious.

I'm following this threat for a few moths now, and several times you mentioned the user input is very important to you. However, there is still no ETA for a function to provide a better indication for most needed features by your users. I understand you can't realize every requested feature, but at least create a function to see what feature is most wanted. I think you should put more effort in this, as this is needed for months now.

I've been holding my breath in anticipation of at least a roadmap from Podio. Like many of you, I've been requesting features and wanting to know what feature requests are evening considered or planned for upcoming releases. It has been over a year now, and sad to say, while I favour Podio for what is is already, its lack of critical features, such as:
- Filtered access or more granular permissions settings
- Ability to hide certain app item fields for admin eyes only
- Bulk edit and delete
- Dashboard view across workspaces
- Ability to create and print professional formal project status reports
- Time tracking and tighter integration with billing
- Etc...
Keep us from being able to fully adopt Podio as anything more than an idea collaboration tool and personal task management. Breaks my PM heart.
Serious business users require realist, not idealist based methodologies. We are accountable,etc to our clients and we need a business platform that helps us outperform and really shine. I don't know what Podio's vision is, but I certainly hope they really, honestly and thoroughly are hearing their user cries and demands. It is about the users' needs, isn't it?

Thanks for all your comments on this topic! It's good to hear that I'm not the only one with concerns about Podio's (public) roadmap.
Even more concerning is that Podio hasn't replied yet, but just repeated that our input is important. That are just empty words...
@Podio: can you please give some more information on this!? Why is this taking so long?
