I agree! We are based in the Netherlands and the standard date notation here is dd/mm/yyyy.

I would suggest a date and time format setting that may be set at organizational level. Optionally with the possibility to override at lower levels.

Hi all - you can change your language setting to UK English to get the date in dd/mm/yyyy format. Go to My Account --> Account Settings to change that.

Thanks for the answer Jacquelyn. But dates are still odd for me as I am used to the format 2012-09-25. My wish is for a setting the differentiate language from date. ;)

Hi Claes, I see your point. I'm Swedish and we write dates in "2012-09-25" format as well.

So I'll add your input to our lists.

I however not agree with the organisational level, i think the person who's using Podio should set their own style of date :)

Users on any version can do this. Have you tried the instructions from the answer provided above?

I did a workaround with the import procedure, changing the format from US to EU. Thanks

Could you add a Date Format option in the Account Settings page? Not a huge issue, but making it easier to locate would help.

    Great product!

Also a 24 hour format would be better...   AM/PM Sucks! No offense!

Hey Wilco, see Jacquelyns comment marked as "Answer" above. This also changes the time format on your Podio.

Some people from some corner of the world would like to use English (because they have no choice) with a date format other than that ones used in the US or UK.   Please liberate us from this binding.

    Hey Charlie,

What date format are you looking for? And where are you from?

I think the best web systems are the one that lets the admin (and/or user) specify with their own format. Then you at Podio don't have to make five or ten different suggestions; instead the users have the freedom they need.

Often it works the way that you take the formats from http://php.net/manual/en/function.date.php or similar, so if I want "2013-03-05 14.51", I write "Y-m-d H.i".

My date format is set correctly on my desktop (mm/dd/yyyy) but displays as dd/mm/yyyy on some screens in the android app.  Specifically in the Leads app - Next Follow-Up

Would love to see yyyy/mm/dd format as well. Would save our company a lot of cognitive frustration ;)

Your solution is not good for us. If we want 24 hour format, we cannot choose UK english because we usefrench !!!

    Peace, Sara,

Please reopen this question. You didn't answer the specific request for ISO 8601 or RFC 3339 date format, aka Japanese date format. This has always been the international standard, popular in computing, banking, etc. And it has nothing to do with locale settings, or language preferences, etc.

    Thanks.

    Hey Ilan,

You can submit a real feature request here if you like and have others vote for your idea: https://help.podio.com/forums/21262162-Feature-Requests

Are the webforms only available in MM/DD/YYYY? Tried to get them to D/M/Y without any luck in account settings?

Old thread so I hope that there is an answer out there.

    Hey Adam,

One thing is to change your Podio setting to English (UK). However, webforms are being affected by your browser's settings. It looks a bit different in each browser. For example in Firefox, you should go to Preferences -> Content -> Languages and make sure you're using English UK.

Hi Team Podio - has there been any update on this issue?

I have both my Podio and my browser languages set to English (UK), but I am still receiving the US date format (MM/DD/YYY) in our podio webforms.  Is there any way to set the date field in a webform permanently to DD/MM/YYYY for all users?

    Cheers

    Hi Allan

I can confirm my browser settings are definitely set correctly and yet I still receive the date in the incorrect format in both Chrome and Firefox when viewing the webform.

    Cheers
