    Hey guys,

Thanks for your patience. I think you will be happy to hear that the calendar improvement is planned for this quarter so hopefully you will see changes soon :) I will keep you updated

Can we get some definitive answers on this calendar issue? Like nan answer that doesn't skirt around the issue, that doesn't just apologize and say thank you for the comments?

I mean you invented a program to help others share project timelines and ideas, so you obviously not must be using your own product or you would have followed a streamlined release strategy, with actual answers, beta tests or updates.

The calendar is an integral part of any business, particularly so for those in the field and on the road. How could you have left this integral part of a "complete business solution" just waving in the wind for so long?

The calendar is not viewable in the ipad app and I have no desire to sync to google calendar. I was looking for an all in one solution, which your site touts this product as, but for over a year as these comments from customers indicate, you have failed to provide something people have clearly indicated to you is INTEGRAL to their complete business solution.

I will admit the first couple of hours with this program were wonderful, the app on my desktop is fantastic, but once I switched to an ipad it was a huge let down. The functionality is far less than on desktop, and the lack of a calendar to see my appointments is just ludicrous. I was considering becoming a premium member but I certainly wont until I see a solid answer and timeline for the release of this integral business function.

Disappointed on my first day as a Podio User.

Bill, there's a definitive answer just above the comment you just wrote.

that isn't a definitive answer, you do not describe how you will be integrating the calendar, and you do not give a date, you just reference 'this quarter' and after your other various vague messages, its hard to believe there will be a solid fix to this integral piece of a complete business solution.

    Thanks anyways

Yay!!! The calendar views are out!!! Love it!!!

Is it possible to push other calendars into Podio, or only able to push this call out?

Great job on making the new views.

That's a really great enhancement. What I'd to get to make it perfect:

    • add ressources avatar on the calendar

    • add item type (project, task..) on calendar views (already ok on my personal calendar)

    • Being able to filter the items calendar view; ie switching from another view like cards, badge...I'm losing the filtering capability on calendar view

    • visually identify closed/ended items (like using strikeout font). But to be honest I didn't how to define a final state... even if I can create values like "closed".

Thanks again for this great step forward

Thank you for taking this great step! (finally)

It looks very good , but yet I don't see the option to filter by person...

I wants to see my employees schedule in day, week, month views...

PLEASE add this little feature too , then it will be PERFECT!!!

    Thanks again...

AWESOME! BUT... I agree with Reza. As a project manager i want to be able to filter John's tasks from Jane's task to see where they have room for me to load them up with more! Filter by person is a must.

ALSO a ajax style 'Drag & Drop' would make it even better! Schedule and reschedule things with a breeze! At the very least, be able to change the date of a project from the pop up window on the calendar page - instead of having to click Go To Task and navigate away to change the date.

NOOOOOOO! I hadn't anticipated that this would actually break my current workflow!

While I think it is great that we now have new and shiny ways to view the calendar, I still made good use of the old layout for seeing what events we had per day. Please Podio, let us keep the old calendar view while still enjoying month/week/day.

    Please?

    Hey guys,

Happy to hear you like it! Thanks for all the feedback, please keep it coming :)

@Arman, it is not adding new features to the calendar, only a re-design of existing functions

@Philippe and @Reza, good inputs - definitely something to consider when moving things forward. For now, maybe you should use the calendar layout in the specific app for more of these functions? For example, build an app to get overview of each employee (for resource management)

@Ryan, have you tried the app layout "card" for drag and drop? Would be quite complicated on the calendar as the change would also mean a change in the app item - but might be possible some time in the future.

@Jonas, sorry about that - there is no way to keep the old calendar layout.

If you want to discuss in person please forward your feedback here: https://help.podio.com/tickets/new (mark as "idea for Podio") or to support@podio.com

    Cheers,

    Sara

to keep all the feature requests in a single place, I copy my comments from the podio blog here:

    • GLOBAL CALENDAR ( podio.com\calendar): I use it for program milestone management (every workspace is a project room, a project is made by several workspaces): would be nice to add a filter for workspaces, and also a color code to be associated with workspaces (for example a little vertical bar on the left of each milestone). Because I use the same apps in different workspaces /projects, currently there is no a visible clue to distinguish items from different workspaces (same app icon).

    • WORKSPACE CALENDAR WIDGET (the title links to  podio.com\workspace-x\calendar): now it lists only events and meeting... my preferred use should be milestones; please let the user to filter / choose which calendar item to show in the widget

if you install a browser extension like

    http://www.webpagescreenshot.info/

you can take a graphical snapshot of the whole page where the calendar is.

I succeded in taking a snapshot of the whole calendar , both the calendar view of each app and the global calendar ( podio.com\calendar).

When you have grabbed the page image, the extension let you save it as image,  or print it.

PS: For those involved in "printfriendly" extension, I cannot find a trick to make it working with calendars.

    Hi Gustav,

Any movements on being able to share a calendar with a client that is filtered to only their Projects?
