Hey Andrew, the Podio calendar (when choosing the dates of a date field) starts on Monday and there isn't a way to change it at the moment.

I would greatly appreciate if calendars could be changed to start on Sunday. This is the standard in North America, so if you're not super-focused, you could easily accidentally choose the wrong date. Of course, many countries don't do it this way, so having the option would be a great compromise.

We are using a Podio App for Communications Log, and I need to keep track of when calls were made. I really can't have any misinformation, especially when it comes to payment reminders and debt collections! I've already accidentally selected the wrong date several times, which creates confusion and inaccurate records.

    Thanks for your consideration.

We actually might have to stop using Podio if they can't get the week to start on Sunday... unfortunate, but a silly limitation. Should be simple to fix.

I'll support this as a very important change for us.

We're in Canada and missed a teleconference with a very important client which was scheduled on a Wednesday (middle of the week) because, we'd accidentally put it in Podio on the Thursday.

If there was a way to change it in Settings that would be crucial for our business because we never use a Monday-Sunday calendar here.

I agree! I am a virtual assistant working in Israel. Our work weeks begin on Sunday and I find your calendars to be very confusing. I just scheduled a meeting for a Monday by mistake instead of Sunday.  Please consider making the change!

+1 on this. Can't get my brain to accept the Mon-Sun week and constantly have to double-check.

I agree with all the comments above. In addition, it would be great to change the calendar view to day, week, or month. Similar to how Google allows you to view the calendar in multiple formats.

Glad to hear you all like it! :)

    Hey @Zamir

Change you language to "US English" and it should work. You can change the language in your Account Settings:

  • Hey Sephi,

That is strange. Have you checked your account settings on Podio to make sure Podio language is set correctly? If yes, please submit a support request and we can assist: https://help.podio.com/tickets/new

@Claus, can you please check your language settings in your account settings? If you use English (US) then it starts on Sunday. You have to switch to English (UK) instead :)

I work in Saudi Arabia, I am using UK English and I would like to start the week on a Saturday, since our weekend is Thursday/Friday.
Could you advise me on how to change the first day of the week on the calendar settings?

Hi, this solution doesn't work for us.

We start our work week on Sunday, but we use UK date format (DD/MM/YYY).

We really want to start using Podio calendar as well, but we can't :( Unless I'm missing another setting somewhere.

Now, they start on Sunday, but what happens to the ones who need to start on Monday? Isn't it a way to get the layout calendar starting on Monday?
