How do I delete?
AnsweredI have bogus messages from when we created program. Also I have exported a time-sheet to excel and can't delete or replace with new one.

Glad you like it, Adil! To do this you'll need to delete the app and recreate it. If you want to save the formatting of the app without having to recreate everything manually, you can share it to your private app market and then reinstall it:

Does that make sense?

Hey Søren,
It is simply the current behaviour of the inbox.
When you view a message within Podio it will be removed from your "first inbox" and moved to the part "viewed". In this way you always keep your inbox clean and empty and can see old and viewed messages in "viewed".
You can learn about how the inbox in Podio works here: https://help.podio.com/entries/21665103-managing-notifications-in-podio

Hey Chloé, if you don't want these statuses to show in the stream you can change the settings in the workspace settings and the settings in every app. Here is some help:

Just want to add in my vote for the capability to delete messages. I have no way to know which messages I need for my archives and which are just cluttering up the viewed inbox. I can leave the conversation if I didn't create it, but that doesn't resolve clearing out the messages that I have initiatied.

regarding deleting something in the stream: I just made a huge (newbie?) mistake. I thought that the delete button will delete the stream entry. sounds logical, doesn't it? after clicking I got a message like "really delete content...?".
I did not think that i'll delete the whole corresponding project, which happend!
please remove this delete button in the stream. i know it's just a matter of days until the next employee will click it without knowing what she's doing. very bad usability, by the way.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for sharing your vote and comments. Just wanted to share a bit of our thoughts and rationale to help you understand why it is currently not an option to delete messages. As it (the message) would be deleted on both ends (since it's a conversation and not separate messages like email) the consequences are a bit bigger when deleting. When deleting you would also delete the message in the other end (your colleague's message for example).
So far haven't heard many that wants them to go away (thereby losing search etc.), but we are monitoring this closely and might decide to offer the option in the future :)
Thanks again for sharing your feedback.

I don't think those messages necessarily need to be deleted, but it sure would be nice to have a "hide" button in my mailbox, so that I could not see that particular message. If you make it visible/not visible then my colleague could keep it in his queue and I could hide it in mine. Then you could have a "see hidden messages" option so we could recover them.

Removing messages would be great for people who are no longer part of a project or organization. I have someone who is no longer part of the group, but I have to look at their emails, activity - and I just want them gone! I've removed them from the workspace but their ghost still lingers everywhere and I can't get rid of it.

Hey Janeile
You can actually still remove the contact from Podio so you no longer see the face of the old employee in your chat history in Podio. Here is how you remove contacts from the chat panel: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201019918-Removing-contacts

Well, I think that the ability to delete unwanted messages should be availaEspecially now that the messages structure have been changed a bit... There's no "first inbox" and "viewed" anymore, now it's "Unread" and "All"... It would really be a winner if I was able to delete any message/conversation that I don't want to keep anymore from my "All" messages list.
