customize the contacts
is there a place to customize what fields are in the contacts? my company doesn't really use skype so much but would love to have a field for twitter.
also for americans, putting the zip code after the state feels the most right, it's just one of those things that feel like a wonky UI when it's out of order. can we rearrange these things?

Yes, you can use webforms to do this: https://help.podio.com/entries/21684758-creating-a-webform-from-an-app. You'd just need to create an app that has a Contact field and any other fields you'd want people to fill in.

Still waiting for an answer about editing field labels when importing Excel files.
Can you edit the labels?
Can you move labels from Contacts to Company? (i.e. address, website, main phone, fax, etc. that relate to the whole company instead of duplicating it for each contact.)
Can you add additional fields for columns not labeled in the standard template?

Basically, you can't customize workspace contact fields (reorder, rename, add columns, etc.). You'd need to create a Contacts app for this. Maybe you want to post a feature request for this.
As to Gijs van Dam's question (why use space contacts at all), well, because users can't create a reference item on the fly, as they can for contacts... We use an app to list companies (Clients), and within each company, we've got multiple contacts (where we need to re-enter company name), that we can use individually in other apps (like Projects), then users can enter new contacts on the fly right from the Projects app, yet someone still needs to add that new contact to the Client item, which is quite suboptimal, but we live we it, awaiting on the fly reference item creation...).
HTH.
