More advanced calculations

I was wondering if there were any thoughts on allowing more advanced calculations. I would like to keep track of all the payments I receive from clients through various different apps I have.

    Thanks Tiago, I decided to use Numbers instead of Categories and have the use input the value rather than select it.  Its a bit less informative but works nevertheless.

    As you get further in to Podio, you start to do more and more but the basic implementation of the calculations function is a bit of a roadblock right now. Would be extremely helpful to have much greater flexibility with this feature in the near future, and for my needs, time based calculations would be a huge help.

    I hope this is on the development list!

    Well done though, folks, Podio is awesome!

    Noticed today there is a "feature request" link in the support home page, and it has a "PLANNED" view. Is PODIO changing their policy to manage user request? Is PODIO going to disclose some feature planning? Should we submint again all previous unstructured feature requests spread in this forum in that section?

    For me this is a more relevant innovation respect to "live comments" :)

    hey Leonardo, I plan on moving the questions to the feature request forum as soon as possible. It's a bit of manual work from my side, that's why it's taking some time.  

    We do have a quite special skinning on our forum built on Zendesk, so there are a couple of problems with adding the Planned, Done, Not planned status to the Feature requests. We'll get back to people within the thread for now.

    Couldn't agree more. Podio, at it's heart, is all about managing data. Yet, the ability to manipulate, filter and calculate against said data is painfully lacking. Are there any updates on this front? We could desperately do with some improvements in this area.

    I could not agree more.   We are new to Podio and are still trying to figure out all we can use it for.  But not being able to calculate stuff, has already made us scrap some of our ideas.

    In particular it would be nice to combine more factors, say sum of categories in combination with specific workspace members, calculation of totals etc.

    I need to be able to self-calculate a specific time frame into days and there is not an easy, clear way to do this in Podio. 

    Example: 

    Start Date 3/1/2013 

    End Date 3/6/2013 

    TTR (Time to Resolve) 6 days

    This is critical for problem issues reporting.

    ALso i´m creating a new app in order to track project cost, relate it with a Purchase order of different lines of the project. the point here is that i don´t know if i can do in order to reference a one to many . 

    Ex. i have one project with 20 lines of details. i need to create a PO of 10 lines od this project related to a suplier. 

    How can i do that?..

    Hey Nunzio (and others),

    We are aware that this is an important request for many users already, no current timeframe but this is definitely something we will look into in the future :) For us it is fine to have the thread here as well.

    We just prefer new future inputs in the Feature Request Forum.

    Maybe there could be an 'in-the-pipeline' database so that everyone knows what the Podio team has agreed to do in due course ...
