So now I've resorted to DELETING important date fields from my apps so that we can actually use the badges.  How ridiculous is this???

Does anyone here think it makes ANY sense to have a HUGE date overtaking the otherwise useful information that is displayed if you don't include a date?

Podio, can you at least make the date just half that size and include a few lines of text fields?  Pretty sure no one would be sad to see that Date shrink a little.  A quick fix that would appease thousands of frustrated customers.

Is it so difficult to add the day to the date, at least?  Ex.:  Thursday October 24.

I have just started to use Podio and I just found this thread since this is exactly what I was looking to do.  It actually boggles my mind that such a change has not been made in a year of users crying out for it.  I am also some disappointed that in none of the posts from the Podio people do they actually confirm that they are even working on this, so maybe I can put some questions out there and hopefully get some answers:

    1. Is this is feature that you are actually considering implementing?
    2. If yes to question 1: Are you actually working on this feature at this very moment?
    3. If yes to question 2: How long have you been working on implementing this feature?
    4. If no to question 2: Do you have an estimate of when you will be starting to implement this feature?

I'm not going to bother asking how long it will take if you have or haven't started, I work in software development myself and I know how varied timescales can be at times but I don't think the questions I've asked should be too difficult to answer.

You are not alone, Ken Robertson. I too have removed dates from my entries just so that I could get rid of the huge (and in my case useless) dates in the badge view. I had to put those dates in a text field instead.

We use a company logo for an app that contains information about various companies we deal with. It's nice to be able to use badge view to quickly see all of the company logos.

The silly part is that we have to make the logo the first item in the app and then the badge uses the image filename as the title of the badge.

Can we get an update on this issue guys?

Maybe an easier feature for the Podio team to implement might be just a customizable form view. Maybe the badge customization is troublesome because of displaying multiple records.

In a customizable layout, you could drag fields onto a grid? And this could be an additional "view" option?

Wow, more than a year has passed since this initial item was raised? Ok, well I add my vote that this is a must since we use the badges daily in everything we do, and the functionality to choose what is shown would be fantastic and very helpful. It is time consuming to have to open the badge, to fully see it, especially when there are tons of them. I did just notice that some of my badges on the same page had dates and others had items shown. I figured out when I added a date to to one app item entry that had no date, it removed the field. That tells me the there is hope by moving the field around. Think I will go give that a go and see if I get better layout results.

There are some features that are in the "would be nice" category, but some type of form that is user-layoutable is a necessary and missing component for useability

+1 for this very important feature. More data then 1 field is needed. This is basic functionality for me as I'm using many of the apps in a "Kanban" fashion.

+1 This is a no brainer! Please don't forget to add the option to display attached file icon and link. I say this because attached files are not included in the building blocks, they are included in the advanced settings. Not sure why this was overlooked. Now we have to click on the badge first then click on the file icon to open it. Extra clicks suck and Podio rocks so get rid of the extra clicks!
