Hiding older entries

Looking for a solution to hide a part of the entries in a field in a project. Let's say I create a project with 20 fields (some are necessary, some are hidden when empty, but that's actually not important).

If I fill data into one field it always shows the whole "entry history" and you have to scroll down very long every time to get to the next field if there is a lot of information. Is there an option to show only the last (let's say) 20 lines of one (text-)field? Of course, it should be able to see the rest of te "hidden" information by clicking something like "show all/more".

If not, would really appreciate this.
