Attach item files to comment

When commenting on an item, why can't I select a file from the item itself? I have to reattach files to comments.

So for example, if I want to ping collaborators that I've uploaded a new version of a file, I have to say "Check out the file I uploaded here" or I have to re-attach the same file to the comment thread. Why can't I just point them to the file I already uploaded?

  When not just mention (even if no link occurs) the file? If they are in the same workspace and you have a workspace file tile, they should be able to note which file you are referencing.

  Many of my workmates respond via email. So they don't actually follow back into Podio. Core users do for project tracking, but a number of them just interface via email itself, so I have to keep attaching.

  Hi Ben,

  I would suggest having your users use the Email to App feature here: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201019648-Email-to-app

  You'll have an option to make sure files are attached as well. You can provide the collaborators a link to the Podio item itself, so they can see the file(s) and history of that item.
