Hi, that's good news. However, wouldn't it be even better if we could set the access level per Workspace in advance?

That way, I could have an open workspace with new workspace members joining with "light" rights only. Now we periodically need to check for new members and change their access level.

Good idea Jonathan. We will certainly consider this as a workspace setting also. Thanks for sharing.

    Hello,

Would be great if we were able to set this value to "light user" by default.

I vote for the proposition of Jonathan (set a default value for a workspace, or at least for an organisation).

    Thx

    Good move.

Talking of defaults, it would make sense to make an item's comment column default on comments only and not all activity.

Is there any update on Jonathan's proposal to put the "light user" by default when sharing a workspace ?

I am also struggling with the workspaces that we want new employees to join automatically as being set to regular by default. As these spaces are where we house cross-organisational apps with very large and important data sets it means that restricting users to light so they can't delete it is very important. Currently as Podio requires manual sign up by the user it means we have to sit and wait to watch when a new user signs up and move them to light user. It is a really inefficient use of time to be regularly monitoring workspace membership settings and this would be a simple fix
