Podio for iOS 5.9.0
We've just released Podio for iOS 5.9.0 which supports Markdown formatting!
The following Markdown styles are supported:
- Inline HTML
- Emphasis (Italic / Bold)
- Images - including [giphy](<url>)
- Line Breaks
The following Markdown styles are currently unsupported:
- Horizontal Rule
- Block Quotes
Markdown is enabled for the Podio iOS app in the following areas:
- Activity Stream & Status Posts
- Comment Threads (on statuses and items)
- Items (currently limited to calculation fields)
We hope this will help bring a better visual experience when using Podio on mobile. For more information and documentation on Markdown syntax, check out this page.
Podio for Android 4.3
The latest version of the Podio Android app comes with a fresh new notifications page. Now you can quickly view only your @mentions, in addition to your read & unread notifications.
Let us know what you think of these updates, we would love to hear your feedback!
Thanks for letting us know Ashby, please get in touch with a private ticket so we can test your device and items.
Will be helpful if you can provide the iOS version and device you use as well as screenshot of an example of the item that crashes (perhaps from web) so we can see the content.
We will make sure to fix as fast as possible!

Any idea why images are distorted appearing to be forced to scale up in size? E.g. the following code rendering the attached image in the mobile app, but rendering perfectly through a browser...
var x= @Unique ID
Please update this column to reflect the known limitations supporting images....

We checked it with our mobile engineers, and unfortunately I don't have good news for you.
Currently images in calculation fields are not officially supported and are considered ' a known limitation'.
I have submitted it as a product input and of course I'll reach out to you if I get any updates on implementation (though I can't promise if or when, I'm afraid).
I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for the time being.
