Markdown support for iOS and new notification screen for Android
Podio for iOS 5.9.0
We've just released Podio for iOS 5.9.0 which supports Markdown formatting!
The following Markdown styles are supported:
- Headers
- Lists
- Inline HTML
- Emphasis (Italic / Bold)
- Images - including [giphy](<url>)
- Line Breaks
- Code
- Links
The following Markdown styles are currently unsupported:
- Horizontal Rule
- Block Quotes
- Tables
Markdown is enabled for the Podio iOS app in the following areas:
- Activity Stream & Status Posts
- Comment Threads (on statuses and items)
- Items (currently limited to calculation fields)
We hope this will help bring a better visual experience when using Podio on mobile. For more information and documentation on Markdown syntax, check out this page.
Podio for Android 4.3
The latest version of the Podio Android app comes with a fresh new notifications page. Now you can quickly view only your @mentions, in addition to your read & unread notifications.

Will be helpful if you can provide the iOS version and device you use as well as screenshot of an example of the item that crashes (perhaps from web) so we can see the content.

Any idea why images are distorted appearing to be forced to scale up in size? E.g. the following code rendering the attached image in the mobile app, but rendering perfectly through a browser...

Hi Joel,
We checked it with our mobile engineers, and unfortunately I don't have good news for you.
Currently images in calculation fields are not officially supported and are considered ' a known limitation'.
I have submitted it as a product input and of course I'll reach out to you if I get any updates on implementation (though I can't promise if or when, I'm afraid).
I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for the time being.
