Trying to build a URL using info from an app item
I am trying to use a calculation field to auto-generate a unique URL address in an app. Then I could click it to quick-search an online database.
The search URL is:
Then I want to use info from an existing field in the app to fill in the [FIELD] text above. The text I want to use though inevitably has spaces between the words and the resulting URL calculation has spaces in it. When this URL is clicked, it opens a new browser and only searches the first word and drops the rest of the words as soon as the URL is broken by a space. See images below.
The website I am searching seems to want a "+" between the words. How do I add in "+" between the words?
- Thank you in advance to those folks who take their time to share their knowledge!! I couldn't make Podio work without your help!
The first URL calc you gave me is now working.. Come to think of it now, when I tried it a few days back Podio was having serious calculation delays that day. Like I said - seems to be working fine now when I just tested it again. Thanks too for the 'Nice URL' calc. You are a real help Rainer! Thanks so much.
