Android App Opening vs. Website Opening

Previously, when selecting a link to a podio item on an Android device, the Podio Android App would open to the linked item. Over the past few months, the Podio Website version opens instead.

This is happening for several of us, not just me. Specifically, we are keeping Google Calendars that are linked to Podio apps; in each calendar item is a link (on the mobile devices) to the podio item that is synced with the Google Calendar item. That is the link that we have trouble with. It really is a big slow-down for us because now we have to go find the item in Podio instead of just selecting the link.

Is there a way to make mobile links open the App instead of the Website?

  Just as a note, the Podio Calendar does not work best for us in this situation, and I'm hoping the upgrade to that did not affect how our current system works. This problem began around the time that the Podio Calendar was upgraded.
